It's so exciting seeing you drive there.. Months ago I was inspired by you and other moto vloggers to take motorcycle lessons during quarantine. In August I got my license, in September I flew to Lisbon to visit some friends, and in the heat of the moment, instead of flying back, I bought my first motorcycle - a 250cc Honda, and went on for the first motorcycle ride in my life - just over 3000km back to Italy. It's so cool seeing you drive where I've just been not long ago, terrified on the Lisbon bridge highway lol I crashed once in France and broke a finger, but was it worth it? definitely.

Are you the only Italian that didn't know how to ride a motorcycle? Welcome to the club, now you got infected by the motovirus, there is no cure or vaccine. Crashes do happen hopefully not very often. 👍👍👍
@elad3113 жыл бұрын
@@luisbraz-ruivo Well most Italians can drive scooters because a car license allows you to ride up to 125cc. But I wanted the A2 license for a bigger first motorcycle 😏 And the crash happened during my first ride in rain - I took a turn slightly too sharply...
@AmbaMerlinson3 жыл бұрын
@@elad311 you got a licence, great. Stay save, have a lot of fun. you already made the expierience that roads are slippery when wet (-: especially after long time dry and then a bit rain is enough to get a kind of wet-soap on the roads. Like riding fresh snow with regular road tires here in germany.

@patrickcooper96413 жыл бұрын
@@tramagacity Portugal hasn't been discovered by mass tourism yet! Let's try to keep it that way as long as possible because when this happens they will have to start with frozen foods and all that good stuff. It happened in Italy. Until bout 20 years ago, you could not eat pizzas at lunch. Now (before Covid) most restaurants that only survive on tourism, the tour buses and cruise ships, serve pizzas all day. Pizzerias don't open for lunch! Same with cappuccinos, any coffee drink with milk should only be had for breakfast, not after 11 am. Now you can in most places. Spaghetti and meatballs is a big no, no. Well restaurants serve them. Italian will eat meatballs, then they would have a plate of spaghetti. These are just the basics. So lets keep Portugal under the radar. Ciao

Those trees reminded you of eucalyptus trees in Australia because they are eucalyptus trees! Originally the bridge had two lanes each direction, because it is a traffic jam most of the time they squeezed and extra lane on both sides. Yes Lisbon, where I learned to ride motorcycles, can get very slippery streets when it rains.

Thank you, my son, for coming into Lisbon the way you did. On my first of 5 cruises to the Med in the Late 60's, we were anchored (or tied up, can't recall) just east of that bridge on the Lisbon side, the view brought back memories as you rode over it. Atlas sure makes some sweet, happy "twin" music as you wind through those beautiful twisties. That took me back to the 70's and 80's when the music from our Norton Commandos would serenade the Rocky Mountains, more recently in the 90's on a Buell. There's nothing (in my book) that sounds better than a proper, happy twin, on a good road. It's always good to see you healthy and happy, Cheers.

Tried the Tenere 700. I was very sceptical because it way lighter then the big ones we are all used to for the last few years. Like the ktm1290 or the bmw1250 and so on. Beleive me Pedro. If you are going around the planet another time? Take the Ten700 in consideration. It ticks all the right boxes for that kind of trips. Expecially with a few minor adjustments. Like the spring and some protection. And with a decent kind of softluggage and a rotopack.

No doubt about it. Was eying one one the street the other day and it surprised me how relatively "basic" it looked which was nice. They should make an even lighter one without the ABS and other unnecessary stuff. It's top on my list to ride on one day.

What I was wondering, is the motorway from Montemor-o-Novo into Lisbon over the 25th of April bridge a conventional toll? I realise that there are various types of toll road in Portugal, some having to be pre booked, my original plan of sticking to the N2 wouldn't have this problem.

Hello Pedro! Could you please do a review of your LS2 Evo helmet? There are not many informative reviews on KZbin for this very interesting helmet.
@iPedroMota3 жыл бұрын
I did a quick rundown once in South America but can't remember which video. The helmet is alright for the price, love the style and design. I do think the build is a bit flimsy though, feels a bit cheapish, also the screws keeping the two parts of the helmet together have resonated out repeatedly so I've tightened those hard with loctite. All the mechanisms still working though after a solid year of use, nothing has fallen off yet or ripped. It's very noisy. Inside is pretty comfy though and I can't ride without peak anymore, especially off-road, though of course it loves to catch the wind at higher speeds. Sun vizor is nice too. I just wouldn't want to crash with it at high speed. Other than that I don't really have the knowledge or vocabulary to explain certain details.
