Merry Christmas to everyone and a very special thanks to those still supporting the channel through the holidays into the new year. Hopefully a nice long episode on a lazy Boxing day and a good excuse to delay your visit to the in-laws for another half hour. All the best to everyone watching stull during a different kind of year and the next one is gearing up to be even more different still. Get out there. 🎄

Merry Christmas to you both too. Took my 91 year old mother out for a Boxing Day walk near a local reservoir here in UK, and was wondering when you guys would post your new vid. Are you married now? “… in-laws”? Well, you certainly make a great team. I love the way you cooperate off-road. Never even heard of two-up off-road riding on adventure bikes before. Ride safe, be happy, peace and prosperity.

I was there at the Bug River Border between PL & UKR a few months ago with my wife and her family. 8 of us piled out of a minivan and I never heard such silence as we all looked at the beauty of the river, the trees lining both banks and the endless fields. So humbling to be stood on Polish soil looking at Ukraine on the other side of that flowing river. So quiet. So peaceful, but in my mind was the images of war. SLAVA UKRAINI!

You noticed that majority of the vehicles at the borders were vans and smaller trucks and I bet most of them was FILLED to the brim with aid for the people in Ukraine. Bigger trucks are an easier target from what I understood plus it's easier to maneuver in tough terrain with smaller ones I guess so they use those instead.
@adamrajczak4999
@adamrajczak4999 Жыл бұрын
Some of them maybe but most of them are filled with people doing groceries on our (Polish) side - mostly shopkeepers and smaller sellers. In Zosin only vans and cars are allowed to go through that's why you see them so many. Bigger trucks are redirected to other crossings. It's business as usual. The amount of vehicles however is due to the fact that Pedro probably filmed it in summer 2022 and this is when they lifted a really high customs duty on cars and ukrainians could just buy cars in EU and get them over without paying a penny. Usually it's far less vehicles.

He’s skilled, but so is she. Most passengers don’t realize how important their role is back there to be a partner in the ride. My wife is not great. Not terrible but not great. I don’t do challenging rides with her. For contrast, I gave a friend a ride home the other day and despite being a good 6” taller and 50-60 pounds heavier, it was a lot easier riding with him as he’s an experienced rider and knows how to be a good passenger. So she compliments his skills and allows him to ride off-road like that with her on back.

Aby je odpędzić odprawiano tam czary i różne rytuały.

@@brianfleming8561 yes it was and I think it's actually an important distinction. Before ww2 concentration camps (although generally horrible places) literally just meant a place to concentrate a population. It has now post ww2 become synonymous with 'death camp' though. Death camps like sobibor and belzec were there to kill the vast majority of the people who arrived with only small work details (often just to keep the killing system going).

Don't spread misinformation, dude! They probably feed you with more bullshit the further you live from the events but still... War started in February and in the vid you can see it's summer time. By that time everyone who wanted to fight was already at the front. What you see here is the line of vehicles waiting for customs clearance in a short period when they lifted duty and taxes on cars imported to UA from EU. There was a limited time window to bring in a car absolutely free over the border and there were lines stretching for over 30 km (EDIT: tax and duty was dreadful - very often several times the actual worth of the vehicle, so this was like million dollar gift to them). How do I know that? Coz I live at the next border crossing and we had to endure all that. So it's not that romantic as you may think/are told. Oh, and most of these vans are not filled with humanitarian help but with groceries. They buy things here coz it's relatively cheaper and sell it in UA. This was happening before the war, during the war and will be happening when this war is over. So, please verify and double chceck your information.

I cringe because of the inability of our soldiers to speak English. Anyway, you mentioned that "Sobibór sounds familiar", I'm sure it's because you were crossing the place where nazis built a death camp while Poland was under German occupation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sobibor_extermination_camp Safe Travels!

You said you think you heard the word Sobibor. Sobibor was an by the Nazis definition an extermination camp. Or by common sense definition a controlled area to comit mass murder. Around 250,000 people were murdered at Sobibor

Amost no connection with the title - that's made to intice that Poland has more or less "invaded" Ukraine " - and the reality of what's happenig and experienced. 1- you're not "surrounded", ya just meet them (unarmed) on their territory being busy doing their stuff 2- the border isn't only Ukraine/Belarus border but Ukrain/Belarus/Poland border more relevant title would be "Polsih soldiers securing their border close to Ukraine and Belarus boder"

15:38 "why does Sobibor sound so familiar?" Because it is famous as the site of a WWII extermination camp, where at least 250,000 innocent people lost their lives to the Nazi so-called "Final Solution", and I can't believe that you didn't know that, and then went and rode your motorbike around for fun. I mean have fun, but at least be aware of the history of the place. It was disrespectful. You can do better. You will do better. I know you will. Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the reminder. Sounded familiar so that would suggest I knew at some point, more than a few places like that unfortunately from that time that can slip one's mind. As for riding yeah that's what you do on roads sealed or unsealed, even for fun. We weren't close to any memorial sight. Time marches on and people end up living their lives again. I can't imagine the amount of places I've ridden through on this planet with a history of bloodshed the past 2000 years, most I wasn't even aware of. Merry Christmas to you too.
