1st and 2nd place totaled the same? And they both had 8/9 attempts? Can someone explain this?
@FutureofPowerliftingАй бұрын
Ashton was the lighter lifter won on bodyweight
@howaboutthat5880Ай бұрын
@@FutureofPowerlifting oh, I had no idea it worked that way. Thanks!

If they totaled the same they usually go by who had a lower body weight at weigh in. If they weight and totaled the same they go by who hit the total first.
@BadAssBlackOverlordАй бұрын
@@doodorgins2640 What if they hit the total first at the exact same time by the millisecond?

@@ryan_s so the >6 ft athletes compete in a diff weight class?
@ryan_sАй бұрын
@@waferpie123 there's quite a few tall athletes in the 105 still -- but most competitive lifters over 6ft are in 120 or above
@FutureofPowerliftingАй бұрын
Could be. I have pics with both I thought they were a bit taller but definitely could be 5'7-8

I feel like anatoli had a little more on squat and bench that he would have needed to push ashton
@Isaiah_McIntoshАй бұрын
The problem is if he took the kilos there he definitely wouldn't have it to pull. He needed to have 360 to win for sure. 355 to push ash to the limit. He's was too glfatigued already having pulled 347.5. But to really cover he'd still need to pull 345 or 347.5 while having added the kgs on bench and squat. It was a great attempt by anatoli but he needed 9/9 today and the grip failed him.

Ashton had 390+ deadlift if needed, strongest his deadlift ever looked

More on squat? Replay his third squat attempt, it’s not even parallel.

3 white lights from strict judges idk man

@@seanmat8His sumo tends to be a bit finicky on the top, top range though, even though the strength is there. I wouldn’t be entirely certain that 375+ would move as well as the 365 indicates.
