Decided to go from 7 to 12 pro after seeing it in person at the store. The screen is a nice size and seems to be a worthwhile upgrade with 4 years of technology improvements (face id, larger screen, wireless charging, lidar, faster charging, more durable glass, ip68 rating, triple camera, night shots, portrait modes, a14 bionic, improved video, etc.). Next upgrade in 4-6 years.

I've had my iPhone 12 mini for 6 months and I'm a heavy user. You can get 8 hours of heavy game play and streaming from a full charge until 1%. You can easily make it through the day, say starting at 7 and by 9 putting it on the charge, if needed - and if you're not a heavy user.

Simple answer : easier to start the app when it’s in a corner or on the side when you use your phone right handed. I guess that it’s one of his most used app on that screen :) Also I may add that his most used apps are in the bottom of the screen and in the last row of each page. Again easier to start a app on the lower side of the screen when the phone is used with only one hand. Am I right Aaron ?

Choose Life and saving money on an overpriced phone. I laugh at the influencers on KZbin with their unboxings of such expensive phones when there is actual no NEED especially when more "vintage" equipment can actually be superior. For instance LOVE my 4 year old LG V20 with it's removable/replaceable/higher capacity upgradable battery, High Res Audio from it's 32 bit Quad DAC/AMP, Headphone Jack, Decent Camera, Screen etc best of all got it used mint condition for < £100. For me audio is very important as I use the phone as main portable music player and the LG V series delivers in spades. As Neil Young stated "Apple - the fisher-price of Audio".

What have you heard about the mini swipe screen not working if you have a screen protector and case on the phone. Also the camera and flashlight buttons don't work. Take either off and it's back to normal. Lots of comments on the Apple community pages.

I got the 12 mini, and I’m just so happy with it. Relearning how to type on a smaller screen but after 3 years on a 7 plus I’m really appreciating the smaller form factor. My hands have cramped up so bad after wrangling that old slab of mine and the mini has just made everything better. I don’t even feel a need to use a case or pop socket for this thing! (Hill I will die on: pop sockets are a solution to a problem we never should have had to begin with. A band-aid on human folly)

If they make an iPhone 12 Pro Mini, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Edit: I keep getting comments saying “the difference is just the camera”. Facts: on top of the steel frame and zoom lens, the 12 Pro has 6GB RAM, LIDAR sensor, night mode portrait, ProRAW format, 60 FPS HDR, and starts at 128 GB storage. When you buy unlocked the 128 GB iPhone 12 is $879, so the price difference is $120. The zoom lens and the extra RAM alone is worth $120. A 12 Mini with pro features should be about the same price as the 12. I would definitely buy it.

here’s my perspective: i’ve held and used both iphone 12 and iphone 12 mini and honestly getting any of these is fine. the iphone 12 is just the perfect size for me - not too big and not too small. but it is big, i enjoy watching movies and playing games using this phone. as for the iphone 12 mini, it is very lightweight, cute and compact. although the small size, it doesn’t affect my typing or navigating through the screen as MY hands are quite small (i’m a girl) that’s all i have the say in as i recently only used them

I went with the 12 mini but with hindsight I wish I had gone for the 12 for one simple reason. I miss having a real dual sim phone and with the 12 I can change out the sim reader for a dual one (same as fitted to the Hong Kong and Chinese version) very easily. However the sim reader on the 12 mini is soldered to the motherboard which makes it a very different story to change :(

I honestly don’t know the mini is cheaper and I have pretty small hands, but the mini feels like a extra thick credit card in my hands lol. I used to own a n iPhone 6 a while ago which was the perfect size for me and the regular size iPhone 12 is just a little bit bigger, so I might go with that. But the mini is $100 cheaper so I really don’t know. I may just get the cheapest option for the regular size which would be 64GB

I upgraded to the 12 mini from the OG iPhone SE. I went to the Apple Store nearest to me to see them both in person and get a feel for the different sizes. Once I held the mini and picked up the regular 12 after I knew which one I preferred. The mini feels like my SE but on steroids with the latest hardware. I got the 12 mini 128 GB in Blue and am absolutely loving it so far!

I am 30 with relatively decent vision however. The camera modules are the same between the 12 and 12 mini and the few times I’ve had the chance to use it for photo/video so far look great.

My basic decision is I have an iPad Pro and I do all of my video work on that. Then I can use the Mini with one hand and it works great. I am willing to make the compromise. My assistant has the Max, but doesn’t regularly use the iPad for video so I think that is the decision. At least it was for me. Good luck.

Am I the only one who thinks the iPhone 12 series was a huge disappointment coming from iPhone 11 series. Nothing revolutionary and nothing that made me want to upgrade. Everyone in 2018 said wait for the iPhone 12 series. Now their saying wait for the 13 series.

@@daniielllll975 to be honest, if you can get the iPhone 11, you should get the iPhone 12. Yeah it’s 200$ more but that’s a lot of features you’re getting and this investment will last you at least 5 years and even though 5G is very bad now, it’s guaranteed to be good in 2-4 years(your phone will be good then too) the iPhone 12 mini has similar battery life to the iPhone XR which is what I’m using now and for a 7-8 hour user like me it gets me through the day at 89% battery health.

The 12 mini have 2 camera lenses and a 5g antenna, still slightly smaller than se 2020 but pack a bigger battery capacity, wth is going on :/

The 2020 se screen size is 4.7 12 mini screen size is 5.4 its impossible for the se to be bigger than the mini

Watched the comparison of a mini and a 7 its only longer because the home button with out it itll be the same height as the mini the mini is wider than the 7 and the se is basically a 7

I feel like the notch blends in a lot better on the mini than on the larger iPhones. There isn’t much screen around the notch, only enough to display the battery, signal strength, and time, with no space left. Therefore, the notch somewhat looks like it “belongs”, whereas the other iPhones, it just doesn’t look right.

@@prophecy4270 I ended up getting IPhone 12 and I absolutely love it!! The mini was waaaay too tiny and I am a petite person but the iPhone 12 wasn’t very much bigger than an iPhone 7 which is what I had before. I’m so happy with it. I play games on it, not once has it ever died on me since I bought it and I’m so glad I didn’t end up getting the iPhone 12 mini now

Just ordered 12 for my new job phone. My 11 was way too clumsy (big and heavy). My 7 was a bit small screen for car navigation and car jukebox, otherwise great phone. Didn’t go with the 12 pro because of the weight. Would have gone with the 12 mini if it wasn’t for the car. Hopefully I’ll be satisfied with 12😅
