How Apple continues to get away with several year old features for premium prices is beyond me! Still no expandable storage, still no 120Hz, FINALLY gets OLED in the mainstream phone, still no included fast charger. These are STANDARD features in much cheaper phones! Heck, the Samsung S20 FE is $350 AUD cheaper and includes ALL of those things I mentioned. This is a terrible review pretending to be a good one.

Alas there’s no type c port in my car and not in any cars or most computers. There never was a reason for a type c cable, but to force people to buy the more expensive charger. The type a cable works fine. Unless you really need to fast charge the phone.

Not likely from what MKBHD showed the magnet doesn’t seem that strong, the wallet attachment comes off while trying to put in the pocket. A little shake also takes it off the MagSafe so car mounts will definitely not work either.

It was aimed to provide safety and convenience connecting & disconnecting. And this one on iPhone should be in similar positioning. Since sticking power of magnet doesn't depend only on iPhone side, they can definitely make magnet on the other side plentifully strong it one-sidedly holds iPhone. We'll see if Belkin can keep the promise.

And since the other side of the cable is now USB C, you can't really use the old ones. Even if you intend to use the old charger and cable, the old cables do no last very long....

Finally gets an oled panel, finally gets a higher resolution display, iOS finally catches up to Android customisation.. this is a PREMIUM phone, and to justify these shortcomings is absurd. The must have feature for me is the speedy processor which eliminates latency and thus echo when using it with airpods pro as hearing aids. This is an under-advertised feature, perhaps because it only affects a small user base. This feature makes the iPhone 12 with Airpods Pro a bargain compared to hearing aids, plus you get a camera/video/phone and a gazillion possible apps.

I can definitely see myself using Magsafe while holding phone horizontally (e.g. playing games or taking quick photos). It is surely more comfortable not having to avoid putting your hand on where cable sticks out.

I agree, but I’d rather get the MagSafe magnetic charger because the cable won’t break as often. I have a bad habit of bending the cables at the connection and the position of the MagSafe will probably stop that

You DON'T need to buy a new charge brick. It's still lighting port so older lightning to USBA chargers will still works. You're literally charging your phone the exact same way. It also doesn't affect Android users that are switching since it's USBC and they already have USBC charge bricks.

This uses a Lightning to USB-C cable. Most Android chargers use USB-C to USB-A where the brick has a USB-A port, so they will need to buy a new brick. Older Lightning to USB-A bricks are fine but they'll need a Lightning to USB-A cable.

@@darth_kal-el They still have a massive notch, first time the entire lineup has an oled screen (don't know about the mini though?) and considering Apple's reign when it comes to battery life, they're knocked down pretty hard. Not to mention every single bit of the lineup is $100 over the previous cycle. No high refresh rate display (adds to the responsiveness of an already snappy OS, I mean come on, it's on the iPad but not the phone? Same hardware, same mistakes) camera isn't better or worse than anything out there currently (though the November and December months may still reveal a few surprises) and 5g...if that's your number 1 selling point...sure it'll drive 5g adoption by the major carriers, but android's been doing 5g for two years now, but even then at what cost? Most places don't have 5g soooo yeah

@@poodlemeister22314 Android has been doing what exactly with 5G? There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the notch in my opinion. You completely forget about it once you start using the phone. Speed? Anything close is the iPhone 11, you know that. Camera and video - no catching up there either. Its been in the leading pack. It’s a great phone. The end.

Magsafe charging is convenient and I use it most of the time, but I actually chose to swap from android to iPhone because of the much better security and reliability of the lightning connector over the tenuous and flimsy USB-C connector which wore out on my android phone after 6 months.

Very good presentation! I’m still rocking my iPhone 8+ and it’s hard for me to tear away from this device. However, if I do upgrade, I’ll upgrade big to the iPhone pro max since I like larger phones. I wish the would incorporate a finger print scanner on the 12 series. Rumors state that the iPhone 13 will incorporate it. Hmmmm, not sure about that.

In China, however, the 5g CAN use with dual sim. The only time it will drop to 4g is when card 1 or card 2 is receiving phonecalls. It's a special edition of iPhone 12/pro that ONLY sells in China.
