@hollywoodthedj16734 жыл бұрын
Well technically it’s no reason why Apple couldn’t have put Touch ID on the iPhone 12’s for the people who prefer it because the iPad Air 2020 is all touch screen no home button but has Touch ID on the side button the same side button on all the iPhones all you have to do is rest your thumb on it but they made the iPad Pro 2020 with Face ID only that just doesn’t make no sense to me how Apple does things sometimes!

THANK YOU for such a practical review of both of these phones. I bought the SE 2020 a few months ago , and I love it! It's a little powerhouse! I also appreciate how you base your reviews on ways most people actually use their phones on a daily basis - and not benchmark numbers like other tech reviewers. The iphone 12 mini is a great device, but the features it boasts over the SE: 5G capability, Night camera mode, wide lens cameras, etc., are not features which make a big difference in my life. However, the SE's home button and Touch ID? Those are godsends and should be standard on every Apple phone.

She basically needs the navigation for the car, a decent camera for pictures at family events, and wants to text her friends who don’t have an apple product(she has an iPad) while not using the burner phone she currently has. Honestly for the $400 price? It’s perfect. She doesn’t need all the new features that the 12 has because she’s not going to ever use it. I moved from a 5 to an SE 2020. Only mistake was (as is always the problem) they didn’t have larger than the 64 in stock unless I wanted to drive “across hell & half of Texas” to double that volume. The plan to for apple go portless/wireless for 5G might be giving Timmy Cook “talc hard tumescence” but NO. If I had his cash and employee discount, a yearly upgrade to a pro max with maxed-out storage might be a “no-brainer” In the end, upgrading to a maxed out SE might be all that’s necessary. (Probably because $450 for a phone that lasts 2-4 years has always been good enough for me in the past.) And the previous phone becomes a great MP3 player. After all, you don’t need all the apps after you upgrade models, and by now, you’ve probably got at least 2 or 4 old sets of earphones, and several power cords/power bricks...

It really depends on which kinda phone user you are. Like me ...I don’t play games with my phone and stuff like that. I also don’t use Facebook/ KZbin or insta that much. Really less.... so battery sometimes lasts for 2 days and I’m always try to charge just between 30/80% battery level. Also I love the Home Button 😅... especially in this time, when you pay with it. Personal Conclusion... I’ve never had an iPhone before SE 2020, always Android. I just love that performance and everything is build up on iOS... So if you are a basic phone user, and want some high quality for less money ...best desicion you can make with a SE 2020

Everyday Dad, You always offer a practical perspective when other KZbinrs are hyper focused on the biggest, shiniest new toys. Thanks for looking out for the average consumer. It isn't all about benchmarks; normal people with normal jobs need normal devices with normal prices. That being said, I still prefer the 12 Mini over the SE. Even factoring in the whole mask situation, my fingers are too sweaty and Touch ID simply does not cut it for me. I like your suggestion to put both Touch and Face mechanisms on the phone. Maybe using the new iPad Air's touch sensor on the lock button? Keep making awesome content! P.S. I'm really interested to see if the M1 Macs will work for Software Development in general, such as Python.

Have an iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone SE 1st gen. The 12 Mini is truly in another league of technology comparing them. It’s the phone we’ve been asking for. Next best is the SE 1st gen based on its classic design. Last is SE 2020, it’s a great phone, its just too in the middle of the road and doesn’t elicit the same excitement as the other 2 devices.

"Once you get it in a case...it's amazing!" That's why form factor shouldn't matter to most people who use cases. You're not going to see the phone's shape unless you get a clear case.

Was thinking the same thing. I was wondering what he was talking about since the case covers the bezels…

want to save money? buy the max memory and just change the battery when the time comes. ive been using my iphone 6s for 6 years. still no memory problems (and i do work from the phone) and when the battery started having problems.. i just changed it ($50) in us instead of buying a new phone.

Hey! Like your review! Which one is superior in sound quality? It seems like SE has more speaker grills than 12 mini. Does that make any better? I have 12 mini and sound quality is pretty decent for me.

Amazingly useful review and comparison. Thank you!! Well done as always.

The benefit i see with the SE is not only is it cheaper but it is compatible with the iphone 7's smart battery case so it would outlast the 12 mini with it while still being cheaper. You could always get a 3rd party battery case for the 12 mini but there's something special about it integrating perfectly with the phone

I'm really happy you're here to put this into perspective, I have a 2020 SE and the want for the 12 mini was huge, but you're right all I'm going to get is a bigger screen and a smaller battery and it's just not worth it

Totally agree with you on the front that everyone who is sick should wear a mask from now on! P.s.: I love your video. Still can't decide which phone to buy though!!

After using the iPhone X for a few years, I went with the iPhone SE for the Touch ID. I didn’t realize how much I missed not having the notch. The top of my screen has the battery percentage and headphone icon.

Yea, I love the iPhone 12 design, but I went with the SE2020. I just needed an iPhone to operate my series 6 Apple Watch and I do not regret going with the SE.

SE: low resolution, no nightmode, no ultrawide, no 6m water resistent, no oled, bad battery For me SE is a good phone for year 2016 but not for 2020

Are you saying that the battery life is that close, I swear that the numbers I've seen show that screentime on the 12 mini is much longer by hours than the SE. I also question hamstringing yourself without 5g. While not necessary, a phone you will most likely keep for 4-5 years means that should really be a consideration.

i loved my SE. i just bought it. if i have more budget i’d go for the 12 mini since i love smaller phones. anyway i appreciate my SE🤍

I transitioned from the 6s to 14 Pro. I like my 14 Pro but I still revert to using my 6s at home. At times I regret not upgrading to the SE. 😂

Honestly I hate Touch ID. I don't know if it's just my iPhone 6, but it's terrible. It takes like 5 tries to get it to work, and I constantly have to wipe off the home button. I'd much rather have the more secure and accurate Face ID. Even if I have a mask on, It's still easier to use my passcode than my fingerprint. So I'd rather have Face ID sometimes than just to be stuck with my passcode as my best option all the time. That's just me though.

I have an iPhone 8 and I’m not updating to iPhone SE, one feature keeps me on the older phone; 3D Touch. I use it everyday and I’ve used the new phones in stores, and long pressing for the same functionality, is not the same. Battery sucks, so I got a slim battery case.

With the centered apple logo, single camera and no iphone text - the iPhone SE has the cleanest looking back of all iPhones.

my phone is the SE 1st gen. should i buy the SE 2020 or the mini?¿
@Sashazur4 жыл бұрын
If you can’t afford the mini, and/or you often lose or break phones, get the SE. Otherwise get themini since it will take a few years longer to obsolete.
@eingelvf4 жыл бұрын
@@Sashazur apple itself is paying for the phone. i made 1k last most with their stock, soo...no problem :D i just like to pay the correct price for the phone. 500/600 would be a perfect prie for the mini i think

While I'm now an Apple fan, this was a great video and I would love to taste either one of these phones in my channel. Maybe I'll have to step out of the box and actual try another iPhone. Another awesome video Sir, keep up the great video content.
