50:43 Attention European version do not have the so called "proximity sensor" in the phone. I lost half an hour thinking I lost the part.
@repaironwheels3 жыл бұрын
5130 I was handling the flash flex/bracket. And the proximity sensor is located on the screen. Can you elaborate a bit more on that part, I’m genuinely curious. I know that apple makes several different models of 12 pro max (A2342, A2410, A2411, and A2412) and there are inevitably small differences between the us version and others

Do you have a URL for the replacement MagSafe magnets if they are not already in the housing?
Lidar sensor not working after backglass replacement and photos not saving.
@repaironwheels3 ай бұрын
By default I always remove LiDAR as well as the board/battery/rear camera/screen before I do back glass. As for your particular issue I’m not sure how to fix LiDAR or your particular situation

Is this easier than using heat to break back glass and repair?
@repaironwheels Жыл бұрын
Id say so. It’s even easier if you get a housing with small parts installed

What did I wrong, if the pentalobe screws won't fit back in?
@repaironwheels11 ай бұрын
Are you using the original screen, and is it seated properly
@Osmo9711 ай бұрын
@@repaironwheels It's the original screen but I forgot to put back the last metal bracket, so I opened the Phone again and the glue for the screen kinda messed up. Should I remove the glue and try to close it without?
@repaironwheels11 ай бұрын
@Osmo97 if the bezel is siting higher on one side or the other you might have a screw stuck to the adhesive or a magnet on the speaker or Taptic Engine Realistically the phone is already not waterproof anymore so removing some or most of the gasket isn’t going to hurt. But I doubt that’s the problem

Pretty informative. However, I did not see it turning on. Although I would test the phone first before sticking the battery and sealing the screen!

I agree. Testing the functionality of the device prior to sealing it up is great advice. Normally I do. Not sure why I didn’t

I was thinking about doing this but i do not trust myself with all these little screws and parts. Also no heat gun. Idk what’s wrong with my phone. All i get is high temp warning after i dropped it and bent the frame a little.
@repaironwheels2 жыл бұрын
To my knowledge high temp comes from the battery board being damaged somehow. If you are in the US I can swap both for around 300

@@repaironwheels that would be great but another thing is I don’t get any 5g while that warning is up. Would that mean my 5g antenna is damaged due to the frame bending or is that just due to the temp warning not allowing anything besides emergency calls

You not a fan of suction cups on the screen to aid in creating a gap?
@repaironwheels Жыл бұрын
The glue that binds the glass/oled to the bezel weakens over tome. On more than one occasion I’ve seen people damage their display using an iSclack or equivalent. It all depends on the application. If you need to reuse the screen stay away from suction. If you dont, have at it
