I honestly believe the 7 to be one of the most perfect iPhones ever made. It’s A10 processor and refined body initially seemed underwhelming at the time, but almost half decade later, look at all the people who are still running it with their 1st gen AirPods.

Rene, I enjoy your videos and reviews! Thank you for pointing out that the iPhone 12 Pro Max is really not much bigger than the iPhone 11Pro Max. In fact the difference in size is minuscule.. I’m so tired of people saying, “Oh this thing is HUGE”!” It’s not! The other thing I want to point out is that many iPhone users (regardless of phone size or model) are TWO HANDED USERS. I have owned every iPhone model since the iPhone 3G.... I have never used a single hand to operate my iPhone. There are lots, and I mean LOTS of two handed users... it’s something I take note of when watching other people use their phones.

Rene is in Canada prices vary by country for import taxes, taxes, exchange rate. Usually after converting from your country back to USD it’s offset by a marginal amount. Years ago I compared Australia, Singapore, and USA converted all to USD and it was about $20 and $40 dollars different. Might be because of import taxes and which port they shipped to. Like when your checking flights to the same country but different cities the price is different.

I upgraded from the 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro because I often found the dimensions of the Max to be unwieldy. I have both an iPad Pro and the new M1 Air, so I'm covered for large screens. I need my phone to be easily one-handable, and ease of slipping in and out of pockets is crucial as well.

Hey mate. How are people getting such great battery life? I would say mine is beyond average. 12 pro max, 1 week old getting 6hrs sot with 9hrs off the charger. I’ve had apple run a diagnostic test and come back all good. I run no auto brightness and have it manually set to half or under. Spend majority of my time on KZbin and socials. Thought these phones were meant to get upto 14hrs sot

Every year I hear tech reviewer talk about one handed functionality but at a pro max and plus size phone user, this has never concerned me. I’m mostly able to do things with one hand but when/if I can’t do something one handed, using 2 hands is second nature at this point. People who are buying plus sized phones I think already know this. I don’t think there’s anybody out there who wants to know if you can use these phones one handed. They either get the smaller-mid sized phones because they just don’t want a big phone in their pocket or they do. Even when plus sized phones first started coming out for Apple at the 6 plus. I guess back then it would’ve been nice to know but for the most part over the past 4 or 5 years, phones have kept the same form factor.

Rene, could you do a video that explains the big problem so many of us are having with using Dolby vision on our iPhone 12s? Here’s the confusion, and there are several points of confusion: 1. If we film in Dolby, edit it properly in FCPX, export it as a master file, and upload the master to KZbin, have not we just lost the Dolby quality since KZbin probably converts it to HDR10? 2. If we want to film in HDR and not Dolby, how do we do that in settings on the iPhone 12 Pro Max since shutting off HDR (the Dolby option?) puts you back in SDR? 3. What if I want to shoot in HDR, 1080p, 30 fps, but not Dolby? If I shut off Dolby, doesn’t that put me in the dreaded SDR? Help please.

I really wanted the 12 Pro Max cameras and battery life. But I have a work XS Max phone and I hate using it because it’s so uncomfortable to handle for long periods of time. I decided to go with the regular iPhone 12 Pro. The cameras on that device seem incredible, even the 2x telephoto. And even it’s battery will be better than my current iPhone X. And like you I’m looking forward to someone coming out with a MagSafe wallet-sized external battery. It’ll make Pokémon GO Community Days so much better than carrying a really big external battery with a wire. Here’s hoping.

Hey Rene! Did you make sure to use Halide or another third party app to make sure that the phone doesn’t just crop the wide camera when you tap 2x? At least in those low light shots??? Recently found out that even on the 12 pro it still does this, as in, night mode isn’t really on the telephoto, night mode is just now enabled when the wide is 2x digital zoomed lol
