I dunno what you're running... But on an s20 exynos, my face unlock is almost instant. Sometimes it activated before I can even put my finger on the scanner, by mistake. You're also not explaining that the iPhone saves and renders video faster because it has WAY less processes running simultaneously than any android has in the last decade. Unless you set the note20 to run one process at a time, i don't really think it's much of a comparison in data access.

The iPhone only did 40fps so while it is better again it is not indicative of real world performance. You can game for a whole hour on both phones and still have solid performance. Still reviewers insist on app-by-app launch comparison, when in reality iOS starts loading the app after the animation finishes, compared to android, which starts it right away. Do it phonebuff style, it’s the only way of doing it right.

These are mainly Android channels so you have to try and make Android not look too bad. Both do app launches differently, Android tends to splash page the screen and then load up the rest of the app so it looks fast. If you look at Twitter the iPhone had the "load new tweets" before the N20U. Also on Netflix, the iPhone has the slow NETFLIX animation so no chance iPhone will ever win that. Also, Samsung reduces the animation by default and you need to turn on "reduce motion" on in the iPhone. Saying all that, both are lightning-fast and I certainly would no longer choose my phone based on app opening!
