Your message at the end about people being careful / not really needing to update their phones during a pandemic felt genuine and heartfelt. The problem is we've hit a time in smartphone tech where we're at incremental gains and improvements. All the products coming out are so polished. You're not really going to get anything massive unless it's gimicky.

Really we’re way beyond that at this point at the rate of technology advancing and how good phones are. Apple isn’t expecting somebody with an iPhone 11 to get an iPhone 12. They’re expecting to get somebody with a 6s or 7 Plus or many of these Pre iPhone X phones to see these and want to upgrade. Those are massive leaps and changes for a lot of people. Because in the end it’s all about consumers upgrading. Not the very very small group that get the new phone year to year.

@@theharesbreath this has 2 battery swaps over the years. It’s in need of a new one again but I think I can hold this battery a bit more time. It’s at 76% and has peak capacity. Doing around 2:35 screen on time with iOS 14.1

I don’t like bigger footprint phones, otherwise would consider the 12 vs 12 pro but minimal/small improvements and doesn’t seem enough changes to upgrade from my 11 pro at all...certainly not for 5G as it doesn’t seem too up n running in my area yet.

Do you automatically always record everything in this iPhone Dolby format, and if so, is there a big downgrade in video quality when you display the vid on a device that isn’t able to show that specific format? Is it still as good in that case as a non Dolby recording from the iPhone 11?
