Just ordered myself a silver 12 pro. Coming from Xs max. Fancied the upgrade for the better battery, performance and camera but wanted to downsize as one hand use is sometimes difficult with my Xs Max. Although the size difference isn’t actually that different, I certainly didn’t want to go any bigger to the pro Max!

I have the XS Max and I love that big “6.5 Inch” Oled Display! I just brought this IPhone XS Max from Amazon Renewed for $560 and I got a completely beautifully functioning IPhone at a maximum battery capacity of 92%! This IPhone literally came in perfect condition! Loving it!!!!

My Xs Max is my 3rd iPhone. I came from the 6s Plus and the iPhone 4 before that. I always get them the same year they’re released and since I keep them for 4 years I get the best out of them. Plus you def feel the upgrade if you wait 4 years before upgrading!

@@mari-ee1qd Really? I also have a XS Max (bought weeks after its release) and it’s still fast and smooth. I’d advise you reset your phone to factory settings. Just make sure you do a back up on iTunes before. The XS should perform just as well as the Max version.

@@tamerabdulrazaq425 The battery life is great! I don't really notice any significant battery differences between my previous XS Max and my 12 Pro. The 12 Pro battery as with my XS Max, lasts the whole day (maybe even a little longer than the XS Max). I bought the Anker 20W charger which charges my 12 Pro really fast! It's worth it. The main reason why I switched to the 12 Pro is for portability.....plus it's lighter and easier to use one-handed. I had enough of the Max iPhones which were heavy and awkward to use with one hand. Since you're coming from the XS Max, screen size wouldn't be a huge adjustment to a smaller sized screen on the 12 Pro. Go for it!

My only concern was the battery life as didn’t want anything worse than the XS Max, but after years of Max sized phones I’d really like some portability and better one-handed use and like you said 6.1 vs 6.5 isn’t a massive different in screen size. I’m buying the 12 pro today! Cheers

On my Xs Max 256 2 years now, serves me perfectly well, battery at 98% so good few years ahead before feeling even an itch to upgrade, at this moment it is literally zero reason for that.

Funny thing : there’s not much to compare anymore since the phone as such has reached the weary top of its capabilities already like few years back . That’s it . All we will see from now on in terms of “upgrades” will be slight design changes and maybe few more cameras as having two wouldn’t already be enough lol. In terms of ever increasing cpu speed , well there still isn’t any apps or games that can fully utilise iPhone XS Max CPU making all these newer CPU’s really not needed upgrade . I think phone manufacturers have reached the point where they would have to start making new phones every two years as absolute minimum to make them worthy upgrade .

It’s only obvious that the 12 pro would be faster as it’s packing 6 gigs of ram compared to 4 gigs on the xs max. Not to mention the A14 Bionic chip on the 12 pro is an upgrade to the A12 Bionic chip on the xs max. This is a pointless comparison.

@@steventinker3958 I would’ve agreed if he had titled it as “should you upgrade”. However, he was simply comparing a new device to an older one. Also, anyone who has ever owned an iPhone knows there’s NEVER a huge change in devices just a few years apart. My daughter has an iPhone 7 on iOS 14 and it still runs PERFECT. I said in another post, people who upgrade every year, only do so to “flex”. You really only need to upgrade every 4 to 5 yrs or if your phone breaks.

Absolutely. Fantastic phone! I bought mine a few weeks after its launch and it's still running strong. It doesn't make you feel as if you need to upgrade your phone at all, and I used to upgrade every year or 2.

Verizon gave me 700 dollars for my cracked XS max towards an upgrade to a 12 pro max. Seeing the XS max on Amazon for 485 I may buy one to run beta versions of iOS on. I feel spoiled that I’m able to do this. Technically my 12 pro max costed me 400. Sorry if this reads like an ad

Idunno about you guys but. Phones this days doesn’t really have that major upgrade. That’s why they put ios update limit for us to think that new ones would be more future proof and better but I’ve been using ios devices for years now and I think iphone processors have reached the pinnacle or at peak performances in which we could only see major upgrades on hardwares such as camera’s and screen and of course battery. This year (september) I personally picked xs max (brand new) over than the 13 pro or 12 pro. The soft edges and the look is just way way better and it feels si premium. Tho nighy camera is a good touch. But for an average perspective. I think I got myself a better deal. People would think that the battery life is inferior. But if you uses your phone for more than 3 or 2 hours per day unless it’s for your education and career. You need help.
