I think 11 owners shouldn't upgrading to the 12 unless some of the new features really matter or their battery is broken. XR users may want to consider upgrading, and I think anyone owning an iPhone 8 or older should probably upgrade, especially if the battery is starting to have issues.

I prefer the design on the 12 plus it’s slightly smaller and lighter, plus oled and better screen quality, and although 5g won’t be useful right now it will in the future. (I’m thinking of trading in my 11 for £400 to get the 12) plus the trade in value will decrease if I don’t do it too soon. Is this a wise decision

@@kpopster iPhone 11 is $200 cheaper than the iPhone 12, but if you are upgrading from like an iPhone 6s plus then you should get the iPhone 12, but if you are just upgrading from the XR, then I think iPhone 11 is a good choice

The iPhone 12 has a worse battery life than the iPhone 11 because the iPhone 11 has a bigger battery pack. Also I don’t think the camera has much improved on the iPhone 12 except the night mode. Last but not least, you get a charger and new headphones with the iPhone 11, while with the iPhone 12 you need to buy everything.

iphone 12 actually did better because of 5nm chip and in dark mode pixels turn off on iPhone 12 screen while on IPS on 11 they don't and overall 12 has a little better battery life

@@GamingZone1234 the first one I don’t say anything about that, BUT the iPhone 11 has DEFINITELY a better battery life in comparison. The battery pack of the iPhone 11 is bigger (like I mentioned) + the new Software and resolution on the iPhone 12 eats more battery.

I think apple has stopped including the charging brick and headphones in the iPhone 11s as well. Plus the iPhone 12 is smaller and lighter than the 11. I have both and it’s definitely noticeable. Also, the screen quality is worth similar if not slightly worse battery life.

@@neroknight1234 honestly not really. But I didn’t go out and take a ton of photographer level photos and compare them. I know a ton of reviewers who are better at this stuff say low light and video are a little better on the 12 but regular photos in good lighting are about the same.

Me personally, I'm upgrading to the iPhone 12 from a Note 8 that I got for 200 dollars. Try getting the Note 9, it's around 200 dollars now and it's a great phone, can probably give you the same experience as an XS Max.

I have seen many comparisons of these two phones, and I think this is the best and most practical of all. As an example I will say that practically all youtubers put the measurements of both phones, when it is much more visual to see them together, glued to each other. Almost nobody talks about the speed of the new modems, they only talk about 5g ... well, delighted and grateful for your work. I have already subscribed waiting for the comparison with the 12 mini.

Hi Maxtech. Running a Geekbench in a brand new device may limit the overall score due to indexing in the background. Try to run Geekbench 5 after a couple of days and I hope you will get 4000+ in CPU

Same here, I have a 4 year old iPhone 7 Plus and its starting to fail, it’s slow and sometimes freezes. I’m not sure if I should get the 11 and save the $200, or go 12. I really don’t care about 5G. Question: do you think there is a difference between buying sim free iPhone from Apple vs. an iPhone that is unlocked and sim free using the Verizon link (also from the apple store)? One reason I ask this because the apple website says all the phones are unlocked. Also, because I just want to take my current SIM card (Verizon) from my iPhone X and put it into my iPhone 12 (if I order one) without having to start a 5G plan. What ive learned: If you already have an 11, dont upgrade yet. If you have something like an x, or a cracked phone, or just due for an upgrade, then get the 12. I had the galaxy note 8 for a year, cracked it BADLY, and I just picked up my new 12 yesterday 😃

I’m still waiting for the I Phone 12 Pro Max, but your video did answer several questions about the “12” models in general. My line of work requires extensive use of my phone. The 12Pmax has a faster chip, graphics, neural engine, not to mention 6GB ram, + 5G over my work horse the XSMax. The 12 Pro Max will crunch video much faster not to mention the camera is 대박 dae bak (awesome). Aaron Z. had some interesting results on the mag charger and charging adapters for a proper 15W charging profile. I’m still pissed off over not getting pro motion, face it, my iPad Pro Gen2 (2018) has it. 3 years + possible before it reaches IP13? Still no memory card. PS A young man at AT&T warned me about the use of the mag case. Something about a bug, maybe magnet related, about it erasing credit cards, wiping key fobs and garage openers. Has this poser entered your forum or concerns. Interested in the Apple Mag Case over Otter Defender.

I think this is an excellent comparison between the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12 - too many people are comparing the iPhone 12 to the iPhone 11 Pro, which are really a different category of product. The one thing worth mentioning is that the improvement in photos (apart from the regular lens having a faster aperture) is not just better software algorithms, since this implies Apple is withholding software from the iPhone 11 for product differentiation. Apple has always had a philosophy of displaying what the finished photo will look like in live preview, so there is never a delay between taking a photo and it appearing in your camera roll (I’m not saying that this is the correct approach, but it is definitely Apple‘s approach). The improved Smart HDR 3 is only possible because of the significantly enhanced neural engine in the A14, so the iPhone 12 is making better use of the existing cameras through improved software coupled with the A14. I know this is nitpicking, but I think it is a good distinction to make in future videos. Keep up the good work!

My iPhone 11 is still going strong. I get anywhere between 6-8 SOT which is down from iOS 13 by about an hour but I still get through a day without any hesitation. I also like the bigger footprint of the 11 but the 12 is nice too. I’m going to hold off this year as the really no need for ME to upgrade. The only difference is screen tech, and the new design. I’m not counting 5g because it’s not at a mature state yet. But anyone getting either the 11 or 12 won’t be disappointed

Hi Max how are you? I use a iPhone Red 7plus. I am happy with it. I don't understand anything about OLED, I am happy with my LCD on my iPhone 7plus. Should the news OLED matter to me? I have Comcast for internet. So when I go out in public my phone connects to wifi no problem. I think I get fast speeds. Over the years with my iPhone 7 plus I have not seen a slowdown. Should 5G matter to me? Never used a face I,D phone before, can't go to a Apple store to test one out. With use having to have a mask on at all times does face i,D really matter? As per what you showed and what I have seen in real, the lcd screen on i11 is superbbbbb...the colours r super n it’s crisp n the oiled is at max only 10-15% better in terms of contrast which 90% of people won’t notice unless until they compare both of them side by side.... i12is a minor upgrade and at 599 i11 is a better deal

If you’re on a tight budget, get the 11. I have the iPhone 8 and the only reason why I am upgrading is because of my iPhone 8 battery. It only last 2 hours if I am watching KZbin or on social media. Current battery health is at 77%. You can check by going to settings, click on battery, click on battery health.
