Totally agree. Odd how all the reviews just gloss over it. I had both and kept the 13. Not a price thing at all. Promotion and the cameras are better on the pro but we interact with these things all day and the pro is just heavy enough to annoy me.

I recently went from the regular 12 to the 13 pro and I immediately noticed both the weight difference and the smoother refresh rate. The pro is really nice if you have the extra money, but definitely heavier. I was originally gonna go for the 13 pro max but it’s not in stock anywhere near where I live and I didn’t want to have to order it. I’m glad I went with the pro instead though because I think the pro max would’ve been way too heavy.

I went 13 pro, and I’m so happy with it. Yesterday I took the phone off the charger at 5:45am and it died at 9:30…..that’s some solid all day battery life. And I was using the phone heavily all day. Browsing, texting, soc-med, watching videos or playing music. I haven’t been this happy with an upgrade in awhile.

I come from SE (2020) to the blue 13, the battery difference is huge and welcomed, the increase of image quality for photos and videos is important and i have to explore it. The feeling in hand is great also. This is my new multimedia production and viewing device for years to come.

I went with the regular 13 with 512gb as opposed to the 13 Pro with 128gb. About the same price, but the larger capacity phone keeps me from having to pay monthly cloud fees. And the difference is negligible too me. I’m not camera centric. So the regular 13 just seemed like a no brainer. And the camera on the regular 13 is no slouch. But the max didn’t really offer anything substantial over the reg 13. So for price, the bigger storage was better than the camera gizmos I’ll never use.

@@necdetcapar3996 The regular 13's battery life is crazy. I've only hit 20% once or twice in the first few days after I got it and was playing around on it. Normal usage(three to four hours of screen on without any super intensive apps aside from maybe 10 minutes of Mario Kart) gets me to ~45% battery life, heavy usage(four to five hours using the camera or 5g or something else a lot) goes down to ~25% typically.

Same! I figured I always put my S21+ on Energy Saving mode anyways which made it use 60hz screen at almost all time so when I switched to 13 I was fine with their 60hz screen. (P.S. - iPhone 13’s 60hz screen is way smoother than other phones’ 60hz screen)

yep. the biggest difference between the 13 and the 12 is honestly the storage. The cameras are like 15% better sure. The battery is like 15% better sure. That's like the only things that changed other than the cameras looking different lol. The 13 and 13 pro finally have a decent difference instead of the 12 and 12 pro being almost the same phone.

I'm not even an iPhone user and I applaud apple for what they're able to do with their video recording. Absolutely miles ahead of the competition. Also I agree that the pro finally seems to be pulling ahead. With higher refresh screen, extra RAM, Telephoto lens, lidar sensor, brighter screen and improved battery life the price difference between regular model and pro model is becoming more justifiable

I’ve always had android this is my first iPhone I’ve had 90 Hz and 120 Hz since androids had it for a while my wife had some iPhones and they have a smooth 60 Hz display so with the iPhone 13 that they brought over the same features from the iPhone 12 pro max with stabilization and the larger sensors and over full HD screen same as the pro model I decided to try out I went for the regular iPhone 13 because like you said it has 95% of the same features 120 Hz is nice but the 60 Hz is very smooth I have no problem with it on an iPhone I always tend to use the wide-angle or Ultra Wide so I don’t care for the telephoto lens the extra two giga ram is to me Is not needed to four gigs on an iPhone work just fine the extra Core on the graphics is super minor the A15 with The for a core is super powerful so to me it’s not needed so for $800 I thought it was a fair price I’ve had a phone a few weeks and I like it so far I don’t really customize like I used to and the battery life is great and stainless steel to aluminum I think the aluminum is better because it’s lighter and plus she put a case on it anyway so for me it’s a no brainer to go with the standard but for other people like my sister she always goes with the promax. Just for reference I came from the Google pixel four XL which was my first pixel which is a great phone right now the iPhone 13 camera is better but the pixel six I’ll see but they have a new chip which they need to work the bugs out

Unless you’re a camera nerd forget about the promotion display and get the 13. If you need the camera get the 13 pro but if you just casually take photos 13 is amazing. The weight of the 13 pro for me is just so heavy. it’s just way to noticeable in a pocket and heavy while holding it not sure why this hasn’t been brought up in all these real world use videos. And that’s just without a case btw. Also this is just my opinion but the cameras on the 13 pro are too big and look ugly. 13 weight is perfect and camera look fine. The pro motion display is really only noticeable while looking for it, it does save battery but nobody needs to worry about battery with the 13 regular it’ll last basically anyone through the day if it doesn’t you need to get off your phone. But if you’re a camera nerd get the pro again.

The review was amazing and detailed. Props for that, But the colour tones in the video are flat. If you colour grade it, it would have bought out the colours of the iPhones and the background a little better. The iPhone 13pro look white rather that blue. Apart from that the video is amazing.❤

I just bought the 13 pro. I tried the 13 mini and the 13 regular but wanted the extra features of the Pro. I'm in Canada but if I lived in the US and comparing the price of an unlocked 13 ($829) vs 13 pro ($999), unless I was going to go hungry for the following month I'd get the pro no question for $170 more. Pro Motion, brighter display, much better graphics horsepower, 2 extra gb of ram, better battery life and much better cameras make this a complete no brainer. Here in Canada by the way the Pro is $300 more than the regular so bit harder pill to swallow but I still think it's worth it.

@@nayeemmp8986 Hi. I used pro model before and for this year I got myself a non-pro 13 due to pro model tends to heat and cause throttling terribly when long gaming session. In deciding whether to get pro or non-pro, I played with my sisters ipxr and ip11 (both non-pro) and both works very well when gaming intensely. Not perfect but far better than the pro model. I guess it has something to do with the compact built of pro model which doesn’t have proper heat dissipation in it. Been using my ip13 for 11 days now and it never gets throttled when playing mobile legend, pubg, seven swords 2 yet. I don’t play genshin impact tho to push this device. Lets see for the next 2-3 months. If suddenly this ip13 gets throttle frequently, then I will move back to pro since nothing can be done and that is the issue with iphone. Btw I also use samsung note 10+ and it doesnt get throttled as much as pro model when gaming.

I held on to my XS for 4 years and honestly was gonna wait for the 14 Pro as the colourways for the 13 Pro didn’t appeal to me as much as people were hyping on the Sierra Blue. It’s a pretty colour, ngl, but it didn’t shout out to me. I have a standard 13 and my fiancé has a 12pro (which has 6gb of ram) and I honestly notice zero performance difference between the two phones. My 13 is equally fast if not faster than her 12pro. I would say the only reason to get the 13pro is for the 120hz display. I don’t see any other tangible reason to justify the additional $200.00. I love the standard 13

I already had some ram issues when I was using the iPhone 11 so I'm pretty sure that it will be important some day. If you replace your phone every 2 years, then this doesn't apply to you. I'm planning on keeping it for 3-4 years.

@@Jerome-iwnl Remember that the pro models get 6gb of ram largely to assist with camera performance. 4gb of ram on an iPhone should be enough for at least another 3 years, especially if you’re using the phone for day to day tasks and not constantly keeping 20 apps open simultaneously. IOS is leagues ahead of android in utilizing its ram efficiently. That’s why a 4gb iPhone 13 will run circles around an android phone with twice the ram. I’m on a standard 13 now and I’m telling you the only thing I’ll look forward to when updating again is 120hz. I could give two farts about the third camera lens. I imagine any performance issues on your 11 weren’t due to lack of ram, unless you were trying to keep an inordinate amount of unnecessary apps open and then testing to see which ones refreshed when you looked at them again.

@@mitchellprovow1859 KZbin would refresh and start from the homepage every now and then, and it was really annoying. I'm not sure how many apps I had open since I don't really close them. I guess it's also good to note that I'm a UI designer and part of my job is to research and benchmark other similar apps to the project I'm working on. So that's many apps open at the same time. Also, there have been lots of tests that show iPhone 13 pro keeps more apps open in the background when compared to the iPhone 13. I still think not having USB C for a pro phone is a huge downfall and why I can't justify it. I bought a pro and used it for a few days and while promotion seemed slick at first, I quickly got used to it and forgot it was there. When I went back to my XS I didn't even miss it. Add in the added cost and the weight and that super ugly camera hub, I think the regular 13 is still the way to go until USB C comes out to the Pro.

They’ll have it in 14 for sure. Remember iPhone 11 had an LCD and 11 pro had the oled. Next year, 12 got the OLED as well. This time, the lenses in 13 is same as from 12 pro. So the pattern is mostly this year’s pro = next years standard model

I’ll just go with the normal 13 since I don’t really need the micro lens feature and coming from iPhone X it’s still an upgrade for me. My brother had the 13 pro max and when u get close to the object ( not even that close) it just automatically switch to the micro-lens. There’s no solution other than closing the lens with your finger lol. It’ll be nice if there was option to switch lens

The thing for me is still between the 13 pro and 13 pro max, I can’t deduce still what size since somehow the 13 pro max feels so much bigger than my 11 pro max, but the big screen and battery feels so nice. But the 13 pro feels more comfortable and secured in my hand

pro max feels massive and on the heavy side and i have large hands, while the battery was tempting, i ended up picking up a regular 13, perfect size, weight and the battery is still superb.

I recently had both the iPhone 13 pro max and 13 pro. I upgraded from an XR so it was a huge upgrade. The 13 pro max feels massive and is massive because of the added weight and size. The battery life and the screen was amazing to experience but the size, weight and overall feel of the phone in my hands made it uncomfortable for me to hold like a regular sized phone. So I ended up picking the 13 pro and it is great. It’s the pro max but with slightly reduced battery life and slightly smaller screen. It’s very comfortable to hold as well and portable. I’d recommend going for the 13 pro if you want something more comfortable and portable.

@@matthew0439 Yeah man, at the ended i ended picking the 13 pro, but i feel like battery life doesnt last that much for me at least when i spent the whole day outside and use the phone and data mostly for photos and travel through the metro and maps... it just dosnt last very much for me, thats why I'm doubting my decisiojn of the upgrade from the 11 pro MAX to the 13 pro, too bad the 13 pro max felt too massive and there was no stock.

I agree with your comments about the notch and Face ID. It really isn't that big of a deal, and Face ID is worth it! I do love fingerprint sensors in all Android phones that I've had but I always wished they had a good face unlock like iPhone.

I bought my Wife a 256g 13 Pro & asked her which color & she automatically said, Graphite!! Upgrading from her Gold iPhone 8+ She rarely uses the cameras if at all. She streams KZbin videos all day long & I told her to leave her charger at home. Day 2 & still 30% battery left!! I thought my Note 10+ was a battery beast but that 13 Pro just goes all day & then some. 10hrs on Screen Time! Pro all day

Many KZbinrs recommend the pro because the extra money is not that much. But you forget that in many countries paying for the regular iPhone is huge effort, exceeding the budget that we had planned. So there is no extra money for pro models

The cameras are almost identical quality. Only reason to buy pro would be for the higher refresh rate which isn't that great on the iphone compared to the iPad pro or other Android phones even. To me the pro just isn't worth it

Actually, the iPhone's Promotion is better than the iPad Pro's, as it can go lower than 24hz (as low as 10hz), and it has much more steps in between the lowest and highest framerate the display can put out, so it's actually even better for power saving. The cameras are very good on the 13, but go out and take some photos at night time, and the difference becomes quite clear when comparing its shots to the Pro's. Still really expensive though, the both of them :/

I had pro motion on my android phones, and couldn’t go back to a 60hz display, otherwise the 13 would have been my choice. I actually like the lighter weight of the 13 as well. I hate heavier phones. I bought the 13 pro. The 120hz is worth with the difference in my opinion. The camera quality difference, I could care less about. The 13 camera is better then almost all the other phones anyways.
