I picked up my iPhone 14 Pro Max this past January 2023 and I hope to keep it for at least 3 years. I think 3 years is a sweet spot for upgrading. You will see more of a difference doing it that way then upgrading every year.

I mean 16 series will come with a stacked battery, which if the base 16 have it, it will be better than the 15 pro max battery. Otherwise if Apple sees that they need a mini, the would put it in the 16 series

I upgrade every year to the Pro Max It ends up costing me about 450 because the trade in is very good from Apple. I buy it unlocked and paid it up front. I bought the 256 gb 2022 for 1200 and Apple gave me 800 for the 2021 Pro max

Think I’ll stick with my 13 Pro max… now give me a Cortana style projected AI assistant that’s makes me bacon and eggs and I’ll trade it in. I’m finally tired of the every year upgrade scam. I take pictures of my McDonald’s and they don’t need to have such a high resolution that I can count the sesame seeds. I don’t need 10 colors just so I can put a gel Amazon case on that covers it up. Give me a real innovation reason to say “damn my phone is not cutting it” till then I’ll save my money for faster internet.

No. It’s a different chip, so the pros always get a year extra. Just like the 14 pro has the same chip as the base 15s, so the 14 pro will have the same software support as the base 15 models. The 15 pro models will have the same software support as the base 16 models

Buy a camera or something. Switch to Samsung if you’re looking for a better photo lens system. You hear people talking about how they’re years ahead of Apple. So if photo lens system matters to you, I’d rather get a Samsung that’s half the price of an iPhone and has better quality

@@helper2708I won't say that though, Samsung has been a disappointment for the past 2-3 years. I recently switched from the Samsung S23 Ultra to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the camera is still brilliant and I love the experience. The design and software just cleaner compared to Samsung. The iPhone 15 is kind of like the iPhone 14 Pro Max but smaller and slightly cheaper if you ask me.

I currently still have my iPhone X from 2017. So i'm going with the iPhone 15 Pro. The reason is that it will have better cameras (especially over my current X.) It will have smaller bezels, and those will be even smaller than what i have now. The 14 is already smaller as well. So for me that will be a BIG difference! There is also the USB-C/Thunderbolt port, which will be much more convenient. The only thing i will need is a USB-C/Thunderbolt cable to charge or connect displays and transfer data. The dynamic Island might be a gimmick but i like it MUCH more than the notch. At least, Apple is doing something with that cutout instead of just have it there. Last but not least, as far as i know, the iPhone 15 Pro will be made out of a titanium chassis which is lighter! So that's nice as well. Anything else, like the action button etc... are just a bonus! 😀 I think everyone should do how they see fit. Yes, it (MIGHT) be getting a tad more expensive. I believe everyone will follow suit after Apple does increase their prices by the way. It sucks. I'm not rich at all. But i like good hardware and i love the iPhone design. So for me, that's worth it. Besides, i'm not buying a new phone every year like a lot of people like to do. My iPhone X will be around 5yrs. Which i'm perfectly fine with. My phone still works btw, but i do feel like it's getting slower when opening apps. The battery is around 80% so that's not too bad i guess. I also can't update to iOS17 anymore because Apple stopped support for it. But again, after 5yrs. i think this is pretty solid. Plus not to forget that Apple will continue to bring out security updates. So i still could use it for maybe one or 2yrs. if i really want to get the maximum out of it. But i really want the better camera-system. So for me, i think it's time to upgrade! 🙂

I’m a teacher with an 8Plus. I’ve seen countless videos on the 14 and 15 Pro Max. I wanted the 15 ProMax but as an someone who spends a lot of time outdoors the durability of the 15 seems to be an issue. It seems the only reason to go to the 15 is the camera and USBC port but other than that I’m upgrading from a 8Plus so I should see drastic improvement either way right? I don’t have to have the latest and greatest. I just want value for my money and something far better than my 8Plus but of course nobody compares the 8plus to either the 14Pro Max or 15Pro Max. Any thoughts or suggestions??? Thanks

So I got my phone a month after lunch. I have the 14 promax. I don’t know what you’re talking about when it comes to battery life. My phone lasts all day with me using it almost from sun up to sundown and I’ll still have at least 20% by the end of my workday. Yes, a bigger battery would be better. It’s never worse unless it’s a backpack or something lol. But I must’ve locked out and had to wait a month for my phone. I haven’t had any issues with my battery on my phone is now a year old. What did I miss? Sounds bad.

Great review and comparison between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15. I decided after watching a large number of videos on the iPhone 15 Pro series videos to go out and buy a iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB in Deep Purple on 29th August. My local Vodafone Store here in Australia had a discount of AUD$250 that was a big plus for me in upgrading from my 3 year old iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB. I did get the last 512GB in any colour, and the last in Deep Purple Pro Max form that store. I have to say that I am very impressed with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and it's features.

I’m getting the 15 I got the 14 pro max at the tail end of January and now the battery health is already at 98% that’s crazy I use my M2 iPad Pro 12.9 a majority of the time so I’m not a heavy user of my iPhone unless I’m taking photos and I rarely go out and do that so I don’t believe my battery health should be 2% lower

No won’t be upgrading as I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I’ve just had a year of not having to pay £30 - $36 per month which is over $400 saved so doing anther year will be $800 saved instead of an extra $ 400 out of pocket and no dynamic island, well I’ve asked all the people I know and others when I’ve seen that they have the 14 and only one said yeah if it wasn’t there you wouldn’t miss it, the others confirmed this with a Err sorry what’s that, so they didn’t even know it was there I will give the 14 a 👍🏻for the Camera/video but I am a photographer and collect cameras anyway and as the saying goes, the camera dose t take photos, you do, meaning that 90% of any benefits will never be used on any new phone and probably only 2% will ever make a better photographer, I don’t mean they couldn’t I just mean they aren’t really interested or as you said when comparing the resolution, your going to have to pixel peep to see any difference and on the screen you wouldn’t be able to. So really it comes down to hype and at those prices people are getting a bit tired of a £1200 one hour feel good factor. Long live retro and more interesting conversations.

Get the one that you want… Titanium is better than stainless steel, but will be prone to chipping and denting since anodised Titanium is poo poo vs Cerakoting, which idk why apple chose anodising… i chose to upgrade to the deep purple 128gb 14PM and my first pro ever and love it.
