What I want to know is how is Trumps trade war gonna affect prices of Apple products, now being outside the US does this mean our prices will rise as usually when Apple in the US raise prices non US customers prices are pegged to the exchange rate at the release time. I know its a tricky topic given the unknowns but I wish someone would talk about this, do we buy now or wait?

I googled it, sounds like a lot of people think it could jack prices by like 50%. I'm upgrading everything now for that reason. That and inflation could make Apple stuff way more expensive next year is my thinking.

What is your confidence level of the Studio not coming until later? I was REALLY hoping for an early release....now I'm thinking I need to go for a Mini and Studio display then sell it later. I would wait if the Studio came out in April. I just know if I buy a Mini/Studio display they will come out in April😆, if I wait it will not hit until October. Uggghhh... I guess it gets the M5 if it comes out in October so that would be interesting...maybe just adding the M4 is not enough to boost it past the crazy powerful Mini.

The only reason I even loved the original SE was cos it was smaller than the regular iPhone at the time, I think it’s pointless if it’s gonna be the same size as the iPhone 16 🤦‍♀️ phones are getting bigger but our hands are still the same size!

Removing the SIM card slot is all very well but what if you go to a less developed country. Does every country now do eSims? And I know about Saily and other similar services but aren’t they just for data not phone calls? I was in Guyana a few months ago and judging by the difficulty of just finding an ATM I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t do eSIM so how do you phone someone up if Saily is data only. And yes, I know you can use WhatsApp and other services but they all require you to have the same App/service as the person you’re trying to phone. People completely underestimate the usefulness of a phone where you can ring anyone if you have their number regardless of their equipment type/manufacturer, service provider, software version, operating system, or any other barriers. Especially in certain parts of the world.

The real problem Apple has that there is no live translate for calling and texting AI that Samsung has. Look I don’t hate Apple but it would be nice if they did something to blow our minds away and surprise us for once heck I’m looking into switching over to Samsung but I’ve been with Apple since the iPhone 6s. But hopefully Apple does something out of the blue an really out shines Google and Samsung.

That would be one of the few things remaining as far as major innovation goes with smartphones in general. Camera resolutions going up to 8K, 12K, and maybe one day 16K and holographic phones are pretty much the only major things that could happen although the 12K and 16K cameras would be at the same time with TVs of such resolutions
