I agree with this guy. I think both phones are great, but for 99% of users on older iPhones the 15 plus is the better choice. Most people don’t care about the extra camera or pro motion, so having better battery and 95-99% of the same features as on the pro, the plus is the better buy. Plus it comes with usb-c

I purchased the iPhone 14 Pro just over 2 months ago. It is an amazing phone and was just updated with iOS17. The updates within that were amazing. I am a photographer and videographer, so I can give some insight into that aspect. The iPhone will never be as good as my professional camera body, however, the video quality now being shot in the iPhone is very high and can be used for any platform. The ease of use makes it amazing. I will not be upgrading this year as this camera is already awesome and it's the only main use I need it for.

I do not use TV for anything... I do not need to connect the phone to anything as I airdrop everything to and from my Mac. And as a photographer, I use a real camera, not any phone to take professional photos. The USBC will be nice in the future if I am to use the external hard drive for pro-res 4k recording, but it is not necessary right now. @@NikoStark1

I think this settles it, id rather have the brand new 15 plus with its better battery and lighter weight. Apple Watch kills the need for Always On Display. I am so thankful for the 15 plus vs 14 Pro max comparison. It was a deal breaker and now I am 99% sure that I will be a 15 plus user. The only thing I am bothered by is if I will see the change from 60hz to 120hz. Right now I don't plan on being a samsung user so S23 is not for me nor the pixel 7, Cause I have never used Google phones, but cool video. Huge respect for doing lots of comparisons not only for best this year and last year or best samsung and iphone, but for different variations and brands than "these two".

it's very very difficult to decide which one to buy especially when right now they are almost sane price. On the other hand you have a lot of Pro futuries like ProRaw, 120hz, telephoto lens, but very stupid lightning connector, and on the other hand you do not have pro futures but you have USB-C connect. Me personally can not decide, sacrifice USB-C and 24mp photo and go 14 pro max or sacrefice 14 and go 15 plus even when i know that that USB-C is USB 2.0 and it is as slow as stupid lightning. very very difficult. everyone has to be very careful and decide, one moment when you stoping and trying to evaluate which future are you going to use more and which is not at that moment it becomes much easier to choose , for example 120hz is very very nice but to be honest Apple's optimization is so good that 60hz screen is more than exceptable or how often are you going shoot ProRaw photos and edit them in lightroom or anything.

@@MattTalkTechphotos are not better lmao. the pro max still has macro mode, night mode portraits, and much better zoom range, for anyone even a little serious about photography these features make the 14 pro max’s camera system much better than the 15 plus. secondly, locking the 14 pro max screen to 60hz and turning off always on display will give you the 15 plus’s battery life if you really need it. truly the ONLY thing going for the 15 plus is the lighter weight, and the new software features, that may or may not come to the 14 pro max soon.

I have Macbook Pro M1 which has pro motion, along with 10.5 Ipad Pro and i love both of these very much. They are such a joy to work on. Along with that, i have iphone 11, which do not has pro motion and never really cared about it's absence to be honest. I think i'll go with 15 Plus for my replacement of 11, type-c port is a huge plus point, it's convenience overshadow pro motion any day.

That’s another problem and a lie. Always on display isn’t a pro feature. They could’ve implemented it on the regular 15 models. I would’ve gotten a 15 plus if it had an always on display. The 14 Pro Max is a top-end phone, and the 15 Plus is an entry-level and is more expensive with fewer overall features. The 14 Pro Max wins for me. In my opinion, the upgrade isn't worth it. I'd want to see a much better improvement to spend the extra money upgrading to the 15 plus. If anything I see going from a pro max to a plus version as a bit of a downgrade. Why pay more for something that offers slightly less? With regard to the fingerprints on the pro max once you put a case on that's no longer an issue. Great video really interesting comparison.

USB-CCCC as you can Seeee!!! I can't agree more we've all waited for this, thanks to the EU. But I've heard even though its USB-C it charges very slowly with a 12volts or something, since fast charging with a higher voltage would affect the battery health, which isn't considered in many other android phones. Anyway its nice to see apple with the USB-C.

can i hear some opinions? i have the iphone 11 pro max and im debating on getting the 15 plus or the 15 pro max. its hard to go from 3 cameras to 2 and the same camera specs for the most part. The 15 pro max will add some more features, but the plus has a nice color and is bigger than my max screen. Additionally the plus will bring more battery life. I guess im stuck between getting the action button, new zoom, 120hz, or just upgrading to plus for battery life, color, save money, and faster new phone. Any opinions?

I have the exact same dilemma . I really want the pink 15 plus but not sure I should leave pro series. Both should be an upgrade from 11 pro max though

Buy the 15 with a 60Hz refresh rate screen, and not the 14 Pro with a 120Hz refresh rate screen? Seriously?
