Let's review the video quality on the iPhone 15 Pro, particularly Apple Log. A few weeks ago, I tested the iPhone 15 Pro in Abu Dhabi. I got some pretty amazing results but there are a few limitations I would like to point out.

Please, don’t shoot Log if you are not going to color grade it ( or badly). Washed out images are not an aesthetic choice. It’s just people not knowing what to do with the footage.

I am still learning to colour grade and this video is simply to test the recording experience on the iPhone 15 pro.

There’s plenty of good tutorials and talented colorists on YT, and don’t you worry, that mistake is even done by professionals ( with poor color grading culture) in some commercials you can even see on tv. « The Log look » washed out, desaturated, « greyed blacks »… is not cinematic. The Log curve is flat ( you get better DR) but then you really to go and color grade the footage in postproduction.

@@jmbaillard7015 Yup, it is all about improvement which is why practising is important. Hence, you should never tell someone to not do something just because the result doesn't match your standard. It's a process. Appreciate the 2nd feedback tho, stay blessed.
