I just received my iPhone 15 pro max. I was on the fence to upgrade from 13 pro max. So far, the biggest understated upgrade is the way this phone feels in your hand while texting and on a phone call. It feels smaller and lighter for sure.

Just don't drop it without a case on it , comparing it to the 14 PM , you would have to conclude it is not as durable in a drop , and I have dropped my 14 PM plenty of times over a year and its still good, and it appears from a drop comparison I saw today , the small bezels on the 15 and round edges did it no favours in anything other than weight . I actually prefer the flat sides and bit of bezel on the 14 myself .

I received mine just now! The iPhone 15 Pro Max feels way less dense than my 13 Pro. Obviously, it's heavier, but because it feels less dense, it almost feels lighter! I remember when I first got my 13 Pro, I was moving up from X and I remember always thinking it was so much heavier for being almost the same size as X. Even last week, I was thinking, I never really got used to the weight. The 15 Pro Max, though, feels really good so far.

Something I really like about the pros is the ability to capture 3D video for later use with the Vision Pro. I have no desire to buy one any time soon, but the fact that I can start capturing and saving memories in this format right now is really appealing. I'm an android guy and usbc isn't great to be honest. Cleaning the port is a pain and the charging cables don't stay in well. Most people dont plug their phone into the computer so transfer speeds aren't an issue.

I mean, how many design changes can you do at this point? Remove bezels, add small selfie/notification display at the back and hide front camera under display, any other change will be just cosmetic or reused design. The usb port is really not a big deal unless you use your phone for making videos. The port is also easier to break inside of the phone than lightning and makes it more likely that you will scratch the phone with the cable end when you insert it. So that’s lovely.

I’m wondering how the weight compares to the 12 Pro Max, where there’s only a 7 gram difference. The 13 & 14 Pro Max phones were 12 grams more than the 12 Pro Max. So if you’re coming from a 12 Pro Max, I’m guessing the weight difference may not be quite as much. But still feel lighter? I mean, I still feel my 12 Pro Max is heavy but also I’ve gotten used to it. Sooo. ? When I first got my 12 Pro Max, it was primarily for the larger display and battery. There was no other choice back then! I never felt it or saw it in store before hand so I was a little taken aback by the size and weight when I unboxed it and almost returned it in the first week! So glad I didn’t though since I got used to it after about 7 days or so, and otherwise loved it! Def wouldn’t have been happy if I’d exchanged it for the 12 Pro. Not a big enough screen for me. lol 😂

Hi Greg, great video! Love the new IPhone 15 Pro Max - need an upgrade from my IPhone 12 Pro Max. First off, what an amazing titanium design and great hand grip feel. The action button is very convenient, like the camera functionality. I’ve been missing great moments because it takes too long to get video up and going but thanks to this new upgrade, I’ll be able to capture them in real time. Yes, I can definitely FEEL your excitement coming through the camera (How thrilled it is ya!!!), simply because I just got mine yesterday (available later in the Asian Region here- pre-ordered it on 22nd September and it got delivered a week later which it arrived first thing on 29th Sept). It came in a bundle nicely safely wrapped speed mail package as I ordered it through the local Telco. I was busy the day I received it so I didn't get to unbox it the first thing I got it yesterday until today!!! Mine is iPhone 15 Pro Max White Titanium (Yours looks pretty cool too in Natural Titanium color!!!) It is soooooo lovely and so cooool to have it in hand finally!!! I had to watch UPS drive by my house and claim they attempted to deliver my phone, now I have to wait and waste a Saturday and flag the UPS driver down before they attempt to deliver my phone to one of my neighbors. The features on the iPhone 15 Pro have been very captivating for me as I've had the 13 mini for 2 years now. I've definitely felt like upgrading not for the trends but because I've thought about going for the 14 last year. The main issue I've had with the 14 was that it seemed like more of the same with the 13 and just didn't seem worth it. The additional safety features along with the camera seems to be plus along with the fact that it's lighter.
