I just got the 15 Pro last week and am generally impressed. My favorite feature though is the USB-C connection. I was able to load photos off my camera directly into the Photos app no problem. This is a game changer for me.

The funny thing about cameras is that companies are improving them as well. Mirrorless Camera's quality is getting better and better especially if you compare them to when they first came out. So as long as Sony, Canon, Fuji, etc keep making cameras by the time the phone is actually like the cameras we have now, I can just imagine what professional cameras and glass will be like then.

For sure. I think the main iPhone appeal is the fact that it’s cheap in comparison to traditional cameras, it’s super compact and it’s something that you always have on you which is a huge advantage.

Thanks! Great model and some nice shots. I have the 13 Pro, was waiting for the 15 Pro Max but still in no rush for one. You can still tell they are iPhone shots and won't hold up to a dedicated camera and nice lens, especially when you start cropping in, but they are getting better. I think the video side is where the real improvements are, especially now that we have log. I would be using the 15 for video a lot more than photo I think. Especially with how video has really started to take over if you work with companies whose main focus is social media. Its all about Reels, KZbin, TikTok etc...I'll probably get the 15 Pro Max eventually. Thanks

Great video! Very Informative. Even though, Most likely I probably won’t use either phone. For my job the smallest iPhone works best. I appreciate the comparison. On a side note. I love that the other model in the background chose the contrast of a white outfit too. 😊

I love the new horizontal level in iOS 17 (I see you're using it too!).. suddenly my pictures are so much straighter! Anyway in my own testing of the 15 Pro and 14 Pro, I feel like with the 15 Pro, Apple has backed off a lot of the over-sharpening they were doing with the 12-megapixel images on the 14 Pro. You can avoid that on the 14 Pro if you shoot max jpeg, but you don't even got to worry about it on the 15 Pro. So I am very happy about that. I feel like blue skies are more realistic on the 15 Pro, they seemed too artificially boosted on the 14 Pro. The 28mm and 35mm virtual lenses look pretty great and are extremely handy too. Anyway I would say the camera updates are subtle when it comes to what normal people would notice, but for me the 15 Pro is quite a significant upgrade (even setting aside the 5x, which I don't have).

Why are photographers showcasing iphones for, real pros would never use phones as their cameras, theyre for consumers only

Really? Ive been a professional photographer for nearly 20 years and Ive done at least a dozen paid product shoots with my iPhone. Most clients are only putting their clothing product shots on social media these days, an iPhone is plenty capable of that. They also like that I can airdrop them the photos while still at the shoot and they can edit and upload them before we have even finished. It's no longer 2005, the industry has changed.

So which one you recommends for us, 3x 15 Pro for portraits or 5x Pro Max for portraits?

Neither. Both cameras have slow lenses that need lots of light. Use the main camera for portraits unless you are in a very sunny place.
