In terms of how it works with other apple products and such and the software may be nice but apple doesn't really do the multi tasking thing or things that would make use of the big display if they do then I can see it giving samsung and other foldable a run for it's money.

There’s no comparison here. The Samsung is in a league of its own. Apple needs a foldable phone. The iPhone 15 sucks and this is coming from a lifelong apple user. The only reason I don’t switch to Samsung is that I’m so locked into the apple ecosystem.

I doubt Samsung makes a profit from their foldable sales and I am not sure Apple is in a rush to enter a market sector where you lose money. Apple has so far stated that they tested Samsung folding displays and they all failed their durability tests, so Apple has delayed an extra 1-2 year to see if Samsung can improve their QC. So do not expect an Apple foldable until 2026 at the earliest.

Samsung needs MANY software and hardware improvements for me to consider their foldable. The 1 year older OnePlus Open has better camera hardware, smoother and smarter more modern looking software and an outside screen wide enough for typing. Samsung has become lazy and expensive.

Any faster than this on any new phone at this point is redundant. Geekbench, Antutu, etc seem almost irrelevant to me now if the phones core functions (what you spend 99% of your time doing according to the most used apps meter) are opening this quickly and smoothly. We're hitting the point of diminishing returns at record high prices. Thats not going to going to work nowadays with corporations raising prices to maximize their free cash flow. Also, interesting to see that I wasn't the only who noticed how much faster download speeds are with Samsung vs iPhone. I thought I was imagining that. This is much more noticeable when you have several devices on the same 1 GB down network.

I decided to give Samsung a try this year and move over to the Z Fold 6 from my iPhone. I'm really interested in the Dex mode when you hook it up to a monitor, a one device to do it all kinda sounds interesting.

You will not be disappointed, the Dex is great when you need to do some work on the go, hook up a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard or use a usb c hub to connect wired ones and be able to edit whatever documents or do anything really

Thing that annoys me is your talking about “edge to edge iPhone” literally isn’t possible. Yes you can have thin bezels but what do you want them to do? They can’t get rid of camera cut outs and hidden Face ID sensors. So that’s why the “dynamic island” is a thing. Better than just having 2 black cut outs that do nothing.

You get a much better score for the Fold 6 if you use the front screen for the tests. On 3dmark I got a score of 4671 at 27.97 FPS and 97 over others.

A little tip : - theres an option " Reduce motion" on iPhone if you turn that off , iPhone would be on par with Samsung on opening apps or may he faster but will not be slower, if you watch this video in slow mo theres a delay on iPhone before opening apps as compared to Samsung.. but with turning off that option, theres will be a very close competition in that segment. @jdauk04 i got mine yesterday, and I love it. It sure is an upgrade from my super broken note 20 ultra. I'm used to Windows, so this os just feels great for web scrolling and watching yt or whatever at the same time as for fragility, it feels solid, especially closed. It is also easier to not drop it closed as it's not as wide and long as my old phone in my pocket. As for the inner screen, I had the same concern, but it feels solid, but only time will tell how it holds up but so far I feel like I won't scuff it up as it's only at risk when open while I'm using it otherwise it's closed up and protected from scratching or marking the screen

The main reason I bouth a fold 4 and the the 5 after that is because of face id. I hate face id. It's extremely slow, it unlocks your device when you don't want to, i doesn't unlock it when you need to, and you have to be in the camera's sight for it to work... And the notch or pill is just stupid. I really like the fingerprint sensor that INSTANTLY unlocks the phone the hundredth of a second you touch it, compared with the iPhone where it takes a second to recognize you, and then you have to swipe from the bottom of the phone, which is also not practical.

My dream iPhone should have a 6.9 inch 18:9 screen, so that I can watch videos without huge letter boxes. The situation with the foldables became worse for this kind of purpose. Im not sure what this video is trying to accomplish. A few milliseconds is so minor. And who cares about a few milliseconds slower/faster? For the chipset test, that's reasonable. And again a few milliseconds doesn't mean anything.

I don't like tests like these, because when one app opens faster than the other By like two milliseconds, there's nothing guaranteeing that you didn't click that specific app Two milliseconds faster since it's all by hand. But either way they're all quick enough And this shouldn't be a reason for picking one or the other

Its always been funny to me over the years to see iPhones beating Samsung's phones in Geekbench tests only to CLEARLY lose in side by side real-world speed tests. Lol...And people STILL waste their time doing those bogus Geekbench tests and go by those results. Like this guy just ran a speed test himself seeing the Z Fold win by a wide margin then went on to point out and imply that the Z Fold was implementing more powerful features, yet he STILL made the statement that he believes the iOhone's chipset is more powerful. And he thinks that only because of benchmark tests like Geekbench. C'mon now. 😏

I also believe geekbench is a biased benchmark specially because it is the only one that shows huge differences in performance towards the iphone. when it comes to like those performance tests where you see the phones performing side to side in real life takes the difference doesn't show up, and I'm pretty sure benchmarks like AnTuTu and 3d mark doesn't give those huge advantages to the iphones over android phones
