The Tape he is using Kapton Tape you can find it in just about any Hoby shop that sells either Model Trains or R/C stuff ask for Kapton Tape I'd say they're retailers on Amazon that sells it 1 hobby online retailer I know that has it is TCS decoders or try NCE North Coast Engineering..

Guessing that the storage in IPhone is not removable so everyone has to use brutal force

When dismantling, high temperature is required, at least 500 degrees. High temperature dismantling will cause uncontrollable damage to the main circuit board. When installing, only medium temperature, 250-300 degrees, is enough, so this is why I always use a grinder to grind off the old NAND.
