Not quite, the end result depends on four factors: - camera module - lenses/stabilization - ISP from the chip - software With all this in mind, you have a lot of room for differences. Samsung used the same 12MP module for many years but they changed the other three factors and the quality difference was big. Even a small revision from the sensor and a new ISP/SW update gives you much better image.

I'm not sure if there's and option like that on iPhones to improve the processing and balance though. I would imagine Apple's doing all they can, just falls short of the imagine smarts of GCam

What budget do you have? I would look for a slightly used iPhone/Samsung/Google but if you're looking for consistency and smoother camera transitions then the iPhone is the only choice i think.. Like I said, it depends on the budget but you could definitely find a good deal for lets say iPhone 13 Pro or just a normal 13.

What is the variant of s24 , Snapdragon or Exynos?? Because i have seen different processing depending on the processor, BTW s24's Microphone is better, i think you're using Exynos variant?

It doesn't really matter in the end. I'm very disappointed with my S24 Ultra (Snapdragon) because the AI post processing literally makes upscaled unnatural images and it can't be turned off.

ALL S24 are Exynos in Europe but the Ultra. He lives in Denia (Spain, Europe) so unless Samsung sent him an Asian/American SD version, he had the Exynos. An no, ATM there is barely any difference between Exynos and SD. The only thing is that Samsung engineers take much longer to fine tune their drivers than Qualcomms, so you need to wait quite longer to have equivalent result on Exynos. Yes, the SD still has slightly better radio and battery life but no big difference. My S20U with Exynos took 6 months to be smooth and have good battery life; the SD version had from start good drivers.

This video, most of all, shows how great the Z Flip6 is. It has the same cameras, which means that it's a flip phone with camera's that are actually fairly close to the iPhone 15. And the Flip can be bought for incredibly cheap :) The Z Flip 6 is really a good W by Samsung. Wish I could say the same for the Fold 6 tho....

Would you be interested to do a ourdoor brightness test? How long the screen can be on maximum brightness in sun before dimming? Iphone, Samsung S24, Pixel, are unless on this, dimming after only 5 min. Only phone so far not dimming from max brightness is oneplus 12 keeping the temperature just as good as the others. Wold be very interesting for us who need to use the phone on boats and airplanes and there is a lot of us looking for this. And you seem to have the perfect location to test this also.

This test would only make sense if its not summer. Under summer sun, phone will heat up very fast and will dim regardless of manufacturer. However it would be interesting to see how long these phones keep maximum brightness if ambient temperature isnt an issue.

I've extensively used the iPhone 15, Samsung Galaxy S24 and Sony Xperia 5 V. I can report that iPhone is the best camera overall and for people and colours. It has a real depth of colour that so far I haven't found on an Android phone. However, the Samsung S24 has an impressive and striking camera. It takes absolutely gorgeous photos that are virtually the same quality as the iPhone. The Sony Xperia 5 V has a gorgeous user interface, that champions PC and Google. The Xperia 5 V is a magnificent workhorse, and defeats the S24 and iPhone for user interface. However, the Sony Xperia 5 V camera is not great. It's nowhere near the quality of iPhone for anything, but portraits and selfies are particularly bad, lacking detail and overexposed.

I used S24 for 2 months. It's the worst camera I ever have, all that needed to zoom resulted in grainy texture and out of focus. It lacks in view depth and even you choose portrait at deepest depth, what you see is not what you get. The post adjustment is even worse. In summary, it is unable to produce a natural beautiful portrait . Objects all flat without dimension. Your video clearly shows iphone produce dimension. I will change to another phone immediately.

Sasmung user here. all i care about is 4k video, don't care about pictures, they were good also on galaxy S3. Since S7 samsung keeps that digital sharpening that looks ok on phone but on large monitor is very decadent quality. the only thing phones improves is stabilisation. so iphone is best for video.
