Thanks for the tips! One that I couldn't figure out was accessing the Control Center via the action button. I couldn't find it in Shortcuts. I'm also noticing that my iPhone 16 Pro is getting really hot really fast and the battery dies after just a short time of using the camera. Any way to minimize these?

Hello. I’ve set my shortcut to the action button on the iPhone 16 pro max. But when I hold the action button. At the top center my icon comes up and looks like a stop button in the center with a loading circle going around it and a green check appears. A screen does not come up. What am I not doing?

7:21 photographic styles can be used on pro RAW format IN POST! It’s just you can’t use a default or predefined photographic style while TAKING the photo. Most people using a dang phone for photography aren’t trying to capture the best shot in real time. They’re just trying to get the shot and make sure it’s not blurry. In other words, take the pic now, worry about processing augmentation LATER. it gives you more options over the final shot. What’s more, you’ll probably take a ton of shots anyway. Once you go through and you favorite which shots you like most, and you edit one? Most editing software (including the native in app editing software) will let you copy what you did to make THAT photo look its best and then apply the same general edits to the other photos you took in the same moment and settings and environment. So it’s basically spend 10 mins really dialing in sharpness/contrast/white balance/saturation/etc., then you just cycle through the favorites in your favorite folder for that day and copy+paste, copy+paste, copy+paste…

There is a shortcut for the one handed keyboard. It can also be accessed by pressing and holding the emoji smiley icon on the bottom right of the keyboard. It is very convenient

This phone is a 2 hand phone when typing lol. I love it tho. I’m trying to learn as much about it as I can. I’m going to use it today on my DJI mini pro 3 today. I was using a tablet with it because my 12 charge port was broke.

5:46 if you use any photo editing apps worth a damn, you may want lossless. The adjustments you make become more controllable. I use snapseed which is a Google app, and gives me some advanced features for snapshot and even my imported DSLR canon raw images. So if you are using the phone for random “OOH! Look what’s happening! Quick! Lemme take some pics!” kind of spur of the moment flix? Sure. Lossy jpeg. Probably set this to XL if you have a lot of space on your 16 pro max. But if you are taking planned pics of your kid for their first day of school, or you need a great selfie and you set up your phone on a holder to use the high quality rear camera? Definitely future proof it by using lossless pro RAW! Because I get sent pics to neaten up and augment and it’s often crappy lossy jpegs and there’s little I can do. If it’s a pro RAW format? Oh, I can REALLY dig in and even on my phone I can knock out some amazing photo editing and neaten up the pic. Then save it back in pro RAW lossless format and now you can get a huge blow up framed pic that looks amazing.

In my opinion if you going to turn on pro raw and set it to jpeg-xl especially jpeg-xl lossy you might as well just not have pro raw on at all the point of pro raw is to have the raw photo data to edit on your own as you need it and of course since it keeps the raw data the file size will be bigger you can export the photo as jpeg if you want to (even tho jpeg looks garbage in general but what evs) after you’re done editing it

On Apple’s website, its clearly mentioned that there is no harm of charging your battery to 100% as long as OPTIMIZED BATTERY CHARGING is ON. Overnight charging as well does not harm your battery at all. What really harms your battery is HEAT Stay away from HEAT and your good to go no matter how much your battery limit is. I want an official advice from apple saying that its better to charge your phone from 20-80%… i mean they wont lose anything if they said that but because they gave us optimized battery charging so we shouldn’t worry about fully charging our iPhone. Now other than that why would you buy an iPhone if your gonna limit lots of settings unless you play heavy games which will heat your phone then yeah u cant charge it all the way to 100% as we said heat damages ur battery
