iPhone 16 PRO MAX PROBLEMS CONTINUE!

The iPhone 16 Pro Max could possibly be the worst promax iPhone model ever made. I personally have had three of them now all with the same issue even with being updated to the most recent software updates even after starting the phones from scratch with no iCloud back up the same issue continues to persist. The worst part is Apple can't figure out what the problem is!

Whenever I use her phone and then switch back to mine, the difference in touch sensitivity is like night and day. Apple connected to my phone remotely and found no issues. I also visited the Apple Store, and despite telling them I had already reset my phone twice, they reset it themselves again. Nothing changed. In the end, they reluctantly admitted that it might be a software-related problem. It's truly frustrating, and I really hope they fix this issue with the iOS 18.2 update as soon as possible.

Mine the same 😡I moved from an 6 years old budget galaxy 71 and somehow I have worse experience using this iPhone 16 pro max trash it’s a buggy mess as well not just the touch screen but loads of annoying most of the time insignificant bugs and some are significant bugs like the touch screen being unresponsive etc….

My wife and I both got the 16 Pro Max. My phone is fine but she’s been experiencing issues with the screen being unresponsive while trying to use apps as well as the keyboard. We took it to Apple yesterday and they recommended that we did the steps that you mentioned but is a headache. We were told that we could not get a replacement because it was not hardware related but due to the OS (which is the latest one). It’s definitely frustrating because we use our phones for business and I feel like Apple isn’t taking the issues seriously.

I have same problem with screen becoming unresponsive. After several hours on phone with Apple & reseting phone I realized it was a software issue with iOS. When I enlarged text in settings screen would randomly freeze. If I turned enlarged text off everything works great.

Have the same issues too. My device was acting really weird. Flashlight oftentimes doesn’t work, screen freezes and flickers too. Also, the phone gets really hot during charging. I have brought the phone to the service center for diagnosis.

Blue line/ blue dot issue on long exposure shots. Nobody aside from Shayne Mostyn is talking about this problem. It renders the iPhone 16 pro useless for long exposure night photography.

Have the iPhone 16 Pro Max, had the iPhone 12 Pro Max, no problems with either phone. Tested for the blue bars in night vision that Shayne Mostyn has been carrying on about, perfect test result, pitch black with NO artifacts whatsoever. Couldn't be happier with my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I shot a pine tree at 25X today and was amazed at the clarity and detail. I was expecting crap because of this being software zoom, but man was I wrong. I wish I could post the picture here for you to see, along with the details so you could see I'm telling the truth. Is the picture as sharp and clear as optical zoom? No, of course not, but it's excellent for 25X software zoom, way better than anything I got with the 12 Pro Max at max zoom.

Thank you, i've had mine for 2 weeks now and never had any issues that all these KZbinrs complain about. I got mine from the US shipped here in Africa. Works like a machine, camera control feature is still laggy but works perfectly fine most times and beleieve with updates it would improve. The camera is so much better than my friend's iphone 14,15 Pros. I dont know why people been making videos making it look like its the worst to ever come out of Apple. Most people who complain run on BETA and expect the phone to be perfect

Same was with me with my 16 PRO MAX - but different problem - I had problems with the touch display - returned the phone - second phone unpacked and was already scratched - so returned again! And now the 3rd one is working. Sad that it needs 3 phones to get the quality you pay for.

1. apple assumes a buyer of 16 pro max knows enough about changing settings from 1080p to 4k 2. when videos are so big in size, to assume it is convenient and feel apple should default to 4k and expecting the same is not a justifiable assertion at all

My 16 pro max doesn’t have that blue banding issue at 30 second exposure. No issues with video yet. But I understand your pain i got the very original DJI mavic drone I kept having gimbal issues, had like 3-4 replacement drones I thought I was going crazy

That's unfortunate mate , I'm wondering if wherever you are getting your phones from , if they are all from a bad batch from the supplier ? Clearly not everyone is having these problems. But having had three duds no one would blame you for not wanting another . You are more patient than I am , once the second unit was faulty that would have been enough for me. I think there is something to be said for not buying the latest and greatest every year. I have had iPhone 12 pro max Australian delivered and 14 pro max , and I have had a good experience with both touch wood 😊. All the best with whatever you buy next.

I am interested to know what internal storage size you had? I have no experience with a 16 pro max yet but i have shot content on quite a number of 15 pro max, none have been my phone they have been crew members phones or bought by production for the shoot. What i have consistently found is the 1tb phones have the fewest issues and the smaller the internal storage the more issues they appear to have. This hold true even when shooting to external drives presumably because they are still using internal caching. It's enough of a patten that i wouldn't consider getting anything other than the 1tb. I have had a 15 pro max completely shut off on me and i believe that was 256gb.

Great video, I would like to share my experience as well. I have an IPhone 15, bought it 5 months ago. I’ve got a ton of software bugs, for example as I’m typing something, the cursor doesn’t show any words I’m typing for a few seconds. Secondly, I play very less CPU intensive games and the frames sometimes get stuck. Finally when shooting timelapses, my iPhone 15 recording screen became extremely laggy and I wasn’t even sure if it was recording the footage properly. I was using an iPhone 11, which was replaced by apple for going into restart loops. But the replaced device was so perfect I wish I can get back my iPhone 11! Paying so much for a phone and it seeing it can’t do the normal things is beyond me. I’ve decided my next phone isn’t going to be apple!

Im having the same issues. Bought this phone last Oct.21st , first issue it lags all the time using Messenger. Can’t play online games without lagging, its not as smooth as my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Been using Iphone since 2015 and never had these problems. Then video starts to stops when recording. Video stops even less than a minute of recording. Purchasing this Phone is my biggest mistake.

I'm on my 3rd RMA. The first iPhone 16 PM had a display issue where there was a faint bright line in the middle of the screen. The second one had an issue with the built-in 1x lens and the paint chipped off the inner side of the 0.5x lens. I discovered that this third one also has the display issue that the first one had but I'm gonna keep this one. I'm tired of Apple's lottery. I've been using iPhones since the 3Gs and I only had that many RMA with the iPhone X. I did not have a single issue with the 15 PM, the 14 Pro, the 13 Pro, 12 Pro, Don't know what's going on with their QC but I hope that with the iPhone 17 they gonna nail it because I worked pretty hard for that money I spent on the 16 PM..

Most problems are having to use multiple APPS to get a video done.Not the phones issues your dealing with. The only option is to use multiple phones for recording because they know their is a problem but effects only 2 % and realy won't be fixed. Simply not cost effective for so few users Unless you're a Professional .Have redundancy to offset any issues especially hardware .

There is another KZbinr Shayne Moysten who has a channel for astro photography. He identified a problem with 30 second timed release shutter photos. The camera has giant blue streaks in it. My 16 pro max had the same problem, I had to return the phone twice. The phone I have now produces small blue dots in 30 second timed release mode, but not the giant blue streaks.

I gave up using the iPhone since iPhone 12, I had the iPhone 12 and it started to get really warm and I had to charge it three times a day, I didn't know if it was been hacked and apple was no help with the problem, if you want a very good phone buy the Google pixel 9 pro, it is by far the best cell phone I ever owned, For videos it has twenty times zoom feature that is really amazing

My mom and I are both having issues with her iPhone 16 and and my iPhone 16PM. We both do not hear notifications for texts when our phones are on standby and locked. I looked up how to fix it and no solutions have worked. We went to AT&T and the guy just said it’s an IOS issue but didn’t really investigate with our phones. These are our first iPhones and we’re also having touch displays issues. Touch doesn’t respond with lag. We’re a bit disappointed as we finally switched from Samsung to Apple for the first time this September. Should we go to Apple?

Got the iphone 15 pro couple of weeks back... It heats so much and sometimes I had to charge it thrice a day coz the battery was so bad... Here in India you have no option of returns or replacements for such issues... So I am selling it and I got a pixel 9 pro xl just yesterday... Even on day one with all the heavy downloads and all of that, no heating at all... Battery seems great even on day 1... I bought a ip16pro max 1Tb on 11/11/24 and have not done much yet, I had a i11 pro max (448/512)gb and cuoldn’t understand the difficulty a simple backup old (516/512gb.) /download (63/1020gb) to /from iCloud. Wifi to wifi failed & was told to upgrade iCloud to 2Tb. With no end insight. I am still backing up my ip11 (62% complete on 20/11/24), I’m determined to reach completion after such a prolonged process! Exactly! The Apple from yrs ago is not the Apple today! They push Apple Intelligence to get us to buy a new 15pro/16 and it’s not even out yet. I know this might not apply to you, but another pretty apparent issue for anyone who shoots night photography, is a bunch of the Pro's have an issue with blue lines through the image. Something that doesn't happen on the 15 Pro Max, nor does it happen on all of the 16 Pros. It's gotten to a point where Apple now have an internal memo that dictates to staff, not to replace the phone for this issue as they don't see it as a fault. Despite it only happening with select devices. Wild. F u 🍎

I don't know but I just opened my iPhone 16PM yesterday, as I am trying to take normal pic then suddenly it shuts off for a minute then comes back to life... I thought the battery was drained after transferring all my stuff from android to ios, but it wasn't. Though it's too expensive here in the UK + VAT (£1599), I took the shot to try apple this time because of its durability from previous launched devices. i'll see how long it will last. Additionally, it says made from titanium+extra, but it feels like plastic to me when I hold it 😅

I have problem with 18.2 and contact apple online derive but it didn’t solve well…. So I am waiting for 18.3😢

The camera is awful in low light. Samsung Galaxy S24 is much better. I regret trading in iPhone 13 Pro Max. That didn’t freeze and worked well in low light. 3X zoom sucks though. 5X on the 16 is worse.

Here is my iphone track record: 1. My first Iphone was the 11 in 2020. It had MANY issues (the Galaxy s6 and this thing are the worst phones I ever had) I had to get a replacement and it took 2 month of begging Apple to do it even though it was only 2 months old. They finally did. 2. Next Iphone was the 12 Mini. A few month in I had to get the screen replaced under warranty because it was too dim. 3. My next phone was the 13 Pro. I got it and right after unboxing I had issues with the camera. I had to get a replacement. I am currently using the same Iphone 13 Pro that was given as a reaplcement 3 years later, because it has been issue free and solid. I am afraid to upgrade and run into issues. There is a very good possibilty I will go with Samsung as my next device after I milk my current phone until next year.

Sorry dude, but I don’t believe that this a genuine problem. It is possible that a bad batch ended up in your local retail store. Try getting from a more distant Apple Store.
