You will get used to it. This is someone that loved the 5 and even it was too big for my hands and or my liking. It took me about 1.5 weeks to get used to the pixel. Just to give you some context... Went from the 4a (the perfect sized phone in my opionion) to the P5 rocked it for a few years. Bought the P7P from being tired of not having a pro pixel phone due to the size that worked for me. Hated the 7P traded it for a s23 hated the Samsung software. But because addicts are addicts lol went ahead and purchased the s23u. Both of those phones are in a drawer somewhere in my home. Bought the P8P last year and it is huge. Like way too big for daily use. Rocked it for a year and now this P9P is the best pixel phone/experience ever. It is a little larger than you're used to. But you will love it! And for a little more context. The LG G2, HTC One m9, P3 and now the P9P are the best sized phones that have been personally used by me as daily drivers. Oh yeah! Might as well throw the Motorola Timeport in there as well lol! You will learn to love the P9P!!! My wife's iPhone is boring. Her old 11 pro and now her new upgraded 16 pro. It's pretty much a newer version of her old phone. The new cases almost fit her old 11 pro perfectly!

Phones seem to do almost everything. Even if you get in a car crash it knows and will call in emergency services. Loose your phone or ear buds, it will locate them in a moment. Incredible phone! Highly recommend it.

I am platform agnostic and can easily switch and use both platforms. However, what makes me stick with the Pixel is some of the features that they dont make a fuss about. Things like call screen, excellent spam detection is messages, phone features like Direct my Call, which helps navigate phone trees. Even just basic notification management. Android, specifically Pixels do thia excellently. notifications felt like a chore when I used iPhone, and sometimes i would find weeks old notifications juat hidden because Apple chooses to shove them away.
@karlis.berzins8 күн бұрын
Interesting view on the notifications. I have completely opposite experience. Have been used to iPhone on a daily basis but I wanted to try Android as well so I bought second phone. From Apple I was used to go to Settings -> Notifications, disable notification for an app and you won't get any notifications unless you enable them back via System Settings. On Android it felt like I had to spend week to make my notifications behave as expected (exaggerating a bit here). You disable notifications in the System Settings but then for some reason some on screen sticky notification always shows up there for an app and you need to go to the specific app and try to find how to disable it. As my Android friend always says that Android gives you more configuration options etc. I agree but sometimes you just want to disable some feature in one place and that's it. If it shows as "disabled" then I'd assume that the damn thing is disabled. :D It was 2 or 3 years ago so maybe something has changed during this time.

I had a Pixel 3a and still have a 6a, had a Pixel Watch 2 as well that I now passed to my dad. I now have an iPhone 16 and Watch Series 10. The reason to change was the Pixel Watch 2 was buggy in 2 key areas. GPS connectivity and alarm/bed time sync. The Pixel 6a signal issues wasn’t helping either. I prefer Android over iOS, it’s more effortless to interact with. iOS is a more “gentle” OS with sounds and haptics, I love that, but you have to be more intentional using it, with gestures and other aspects. Pixel Watch 3 didn’t seem to have improved GPS and Pixel 9 Tensor G4 didn’t give me much confidence of longevity over 4-5 years. There have been early QC issues as well on Pixel phones, more so than iPhones. When o bought my Pixel 6a I had to return it due to a pink line issue and my brother recently bought a Pixel 8 who had to return due to selfie camera issue. Pixel 9 had tilt zoom lens, phantom screen touches and video pan issues, etc. On top of that, I have MacOS and my wife uses iPhone. While Google is not taking Chromebook seriously, not even releasing their own hardware. Pixel Watch 3 is still not repairable and still only 3 years of updates. Apple Watch Series 10 has been amazing. I’m loving how lightweight and thin it is even compared to the PW2. I’m loving the rings, gives me more motivation. And the alarm works as expected. With really cool and increasing vibration that always work. I miss Pixel phone and Watch software simplicity. iOS and WatchOS is more bloated with software. iOS Messages app is the buggiest piece of software I’ve experienced. Wonder why nobody talks about that. - screen goes off when recording audio - audio recording stuck on 00:00 3/10 times when activating it from the sound wave icon in the right of the text input - syncing issues with messages - you can’t drag voice messages to reply - no search functionality - and more

Every few years, I give iPhone a chance. At no point have I ever seen an iPhone that could compete with a pixel device. Even back when iPhone had the better camera, they never had the better phone. Overall. Google has probably had a better camera since the pixel 6 or 7 so iPhone is just not able to truly compete. At this point. iPhone is only there because of the brand and people are loyal to brands they've always been with. Back when Google had Motorola, the Moto Razr Android phone was better than iPhone.

Stabilise the shaky footage in post or use a tripod for all shots! Seriously, I can't watch that.

I have pixel 9 xl, my main issue is the fingerprint scanner is not the best and the face unlock sucks in low light.

I dont know why people keep assuming since google is switching to tsmc that performance will be greatly improved, google isnt going for high numbers to please the masses they're going for Ai tasks, camera features, fluid quickness of the ui and Great battery life which are all things normal ppl do everyday. The only thing i can see improving is the efficiency and heat management and just maybe a small 10 to 25 precent improvement in performance thsts it. I dont see any major differences because as off now tensor G4 is really good for what it is in my book.

i think google sucks. i have a pixel followed by recommendation. but it has a weak processor. they should really shift to snapdragon or ship pro model with snapdragon.

If rumors are true they’ll have a much better CPU next year. Fingers crossed that it competes with Qualcomm.
@thebeast12333Ай бұрын
@@anthonyt425 I think you've misunderstood the rumours. It will still be a crappy tensor chip regardless of who is manufacturing it. Their chip is so far behind Snapdragon that it's a joke,

Apple has dominated the SOC for a decade for sure and it is only lately that Android fans have been able to buy a flagship chip, previously they had Samsung-made junk.
