I will say as a healthcare professional, I use my temp sensor on my 8 pro everyday I work with my pts in the ICU. I frequently take their temp and I have seen doctors as well use the phone at work. I think if Google could put this feature into a line of phones specifically for healthcare and integrate it into the electronic medical record system, hospital systems would buy that phone easily. No other phone does this. It's super accurate now as I've tested it against multiple other thermometers at work. I honestly don't think this feature gets enough hype. I am constantly being asked by my coworkers what kind of phone I have and how much it was. I too, honestly at first thought it was gimmicky but it's something I'm not sure I would want to go without now.

We are in a great place with tremendous choices, Apple, Google, Samsung, and others produce GREAT phones - they each have their own strengths. When I ordered my Pixel 9 Pro, I "future proofed" it by going for 256gb, and it already has 16gb ram (if AI really does take-off). It just suits me 😁. If I was a "gamer" I would gone for a Snapdragon powered phone (the next Samsung probably), or if I was embedded in the Apple ecosystem I would have gone for an iPhone - horses for courses, so to speak 😂. I would have liked the Pixel to have a camera button, maybe they will copy it on the Pixel 10 Pro 😂.

If someone is upgrading from a 15 Pro Max then there’s not gonna be much of a difference but I think for me coming from a 14 Pro Max, there was a enough of a reason for me to upgrade, but I agree with regarding Apple’s handling of Apple Intelligence and them advertising it when it’s not even launched. I definitely like the Pixel 9 Pro XL which from Google’s perspective it’s a bigger upgrade. But for all these doom and gloom about Apple Intelligence, Apple Intelligence will win out imo, because of the focus on privacy, but right now, Apple’s not doing a great job of making people care about AI. And if Apple can keeps Apple Intelligence as free compared to Google making people pay for Gemini after 1 year and the same with Galaxy AI then that will give Apple enough advantage, I care about AI so I’m looking forward to Apple Intelligence when it launches. Any of you guys having issues with Pixel 9 Pro fingerprint scanner. Mine is not registering my prints after installing the screen protector. I changed the settings so it is more sensitive to read your prints when having a screen protector on and it is still not detecting my prints. I took off the screen protector and it worked fine. I did the process of re-scanning all my prints and slapped on a new screen protector and the same thing happened it wasn't registering my finger prints. I did bring it up to Google support they said they are aware of it and unfortunately that I would have to wait for an update. Other than that the phone is great.

@@TechOdyssey you keep mentioning ram being the whole factor in the AI, but didn’t they also improve the cores of the neural engine? Tim Cook did say that this phone was made for AI from the ground up so maybe the neural cores will prove to be as much as a factor as ram

Hi, are you having problems with the volume being low on 16 pro max ? My alarm clock sound is very low. Overslept.

Hi there, I currently own an Iphone 13 bought in July 2022, and I lost 9% battery life within 26 months which is more than acceptable! I am thinking of buying the 16 pro with its large 6.3 screen or switch to the Pixel 9 pro XL! I have to transfer all my contents anyway, and that makes me consider the 16 pro in priority!

Pixel Watch 3 is actually useful, whereas 2 was not. Way better battery, larger screens, better tracking.

If they start charging for AI, all you gotta do is once your phone is 50% paid off with T-Mobile just trade in for the next one it’ll be the same cost if not lower then just buy an AI month with a 20 dollar bill, especially if you catch it on sale

@shaunod6745 Pixel 10 is going to be pretty amazing as there finally switching to TSMC chips which are known for raw power. I still don't think Pixel will prioritize that but it will be a significant jump then prior years in year to year performance.

I think Apple is full of it with the ram,Apple could ship AI to all phones and worse case it would work slow both companies rip us off. I just don’t trust Google with my money or my data. Pixel with 16 gigs of ram is liable to be slow in a year. Be careful with Google, I think it is far better to move to Samsung over Google any day. Other ten iPhone the only Android phone I would consider is s24 ultra. Great video, thanks for the breakdown.

if knowing apple was going to add the camera control button. i would’ve suggested consolidating that and the action button into the side button but also making it a fingerprint sensor.

Well, the only reason to buy pixel is indeed AI, otherwise it has underpowered processor. The iphone closed wall is what turns me off, basically impossible to even get my own pictures and videos off the phone, and then no multi tasking.

Google is doing the same trash they’ve been doing and selling lower powered devices and offloading more and more to cloud and locking these software offloaded features to specific hardware, like Microsoft.

@BetancourtdmАй бұрын
Should be the same as the S24 series or any Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone as they all use the X75 modem. The only differences would be phone antenna design. I'm more curious about X75 modems vs Exynos 5400 modems in the new Pixels. Exynos has higher speeds but X75 has AI trickery to hold signals.

I’m quite happy google copied Apples design it’s a very durable and good looking phone, for me comparing the pixel and iPhone the pixel only has a significantly worse processor but other than that a perfect phone. My other issue is also the abhorrent trade in values after 2 years or so where Android phones have less than half the value of the same age iPhone. I personally tend to upgrade every 2 years.
@abowolewaАй бұрын
I'm using the Pixel 9 Pro XL and really enjoy it ‼️ I've got no desire to jump 🚢 to Apple! I really appreciate the call screening feature that Google built into the Pixel series phones. You can't get that feature in iOS ‼️

Knowing how Apple is, I can only imagine at some point they will try to monetize it. They may keep these core functions and Siri free, but at some point I bet they will charge.
@Adamtendo_player_1Ай бұрын
@@TechOdysseyI’m not so sure, Apple would have said already if Apple Intelligence would be eventually behind a paywall, i think Apple will most likely raise the price of future iPhones to cover the costs of their AI, but I would not put it past Apple to monetise their AI.

I wonder if Apple could have brought Apple Intelligence to older iPhones if they brought in an android feature called Ram Boost...where you can allocate 1 or 4gb of system memory to Ram. Then it would recognise it as Ram and allow the functionality.

The 16 line is a “throw away”, we saw this same behaviour with the Iphone X. The 16 is a “beta” phone they will use it to see what people like and dont like, the real launch comes with the 17 and IOS 19. My Opinion, My Prediction.
