I enjoy your content! I have a iphone 14 plus that i really liked and had no intention of replacing for atleast another year, but it is malfunctioning. I am thinking of making the switch back to samsung but i am stuck in the apple eco system currently, so leary of the move. I am thinking of just picking up the se for 150 bucks on amazon and using it for a year.

IF ONLY OnePlus gave us audio peeps a headphone jack WITH a decent Quad DAC (like the old LGs) I'd INSTANTLY buy into the OnePlus system! As it is, there's ONLY the expensive Sony phones with LIMITED OS support... 😒 😎🇬🇧

Just got this phone 3 days ago. I love it! I just wish someone would have said that all apps are google apps. Photos, messages ect. I am a privacy advocate. It's a ton of work to find alternatives that this phone will work well with. But it's an awesome phone, I just don't want google everywhere

Sony was fast with this update because they changed nothing :D Only pushed one tab into camera app (video pro). Camera app is now crammed full of nonsense with no separate pro apps as in previous models.

Hey man, I'd really like to get the Xperia 1 VI to replace my still very good LG G8 do you still recommend it? I had the Xperia 1 III very briefly I wasn't impressed so I sold it. I'm still holding on to my LG. Now I'm thinking should I wait for the OnePlus 13 when it comes out or get this Xperia 1 VI? Thanks

I used to be a self confessed Samsung fanboy but OnePlus are just doing EVERYTHING right. I genuinely can't see myself moving from OnePlus so I'm now a OnePlus fanboy. They are just blowing Samsung and Google out the water just now. Vivo honor and Xiaomi are doing some incredible things too. I just hope people realise there's better out there than Samsung as my eyes were opened a while ago. Flagship specs for fantastic prices. Great vid bud 👍

I wish google implemented the option to go back to the most reliable and stable version of android with software updates just like app updates in case there are some bugs and issues with the software updates. For example, app updates can be reverted back to the older version or a version that can be sideloaded to a more a more stable and reliable version but apply it to all software updates in the same process. With the software updates, you can't go back to the version that the phone came with out of the box because it's the most stable and reliable version of the operating system a compared to doing a new software update whenever there is a new software update. I ended up buying a new device whenever I do a software update because the issues and bugs ruin the device due to planned obsolescence with software updates. The same thing applies to bluetooth earbuds and headphones because the software can be manipulated in order to sell a newer product. For instance, shorter battery life can be affected with softwares both with a bluetooth audio device like headphones and the noise canceling does not work as well and not reliably liked it to be before any software updates have been installed and its something similar happening to software updates on smartphones. Unfortunately, planned obsolescence has already been normalized because everyone is doing it and there is no law against making products not function like they are supposed to work properly once they are first being used and than there are software issues because the devices are bricked intentionally by the manufacturers like the spotify car thing. There are some new features with software updates but it ends up breaking something randomly when something that people use ends up not working and than ends up getting replaced and the new product was being replaced and the same issues apply even with a replacement model because of the known software update issues.

Sony undeniably has some excellent products: Bravia TVs, outstanding audio systems, the PlayStation 5, and incredible cameras and lenses. But why are their smartphones such a massive disappointment, especially at such premium prices? The strangest part? Sony fans. They stubbornly defend the brand, turning a blind eye to glaring flaws: outdated software, mediocre battery life, overpriced devices, and subpar customer support. How can anyone overlook these issues? For the same amount of money, you could get a Samsung, iPhone, or even a OnePlus or Vivo, all of which outperform Sony smartphones in nearly every category. If you’re still choosing Sony phones, it’s time to seriously rethink your priorities. **P.S.** If you’re after features like a microSD slot and a headphone jack, even Asus has you covered.
@bloodytoad201020 сағат бұрын
Long battery life , slim phone chassis , dual front firing speakers , IP68 , no notch nonsense on display, 3.5mm , micro sd card expansion, no need for sim tool to extract the nano sim all in a light weight package. Where can you find them?
@josephaquino309519 сағат бұрын
Any brand has some quirks. The battery is just one of Sony's strengths. That is not mediocre. Sony is just true to themselves and provides a phone with characteristics you can seldom find, or even find from other phones. Some fans just value what is there that is not on others. Sure, some were also removed - notif. LED. But there are few phones with uninterrupted display, front-firing stereo speakers (cannot find any other, is there?), microsd slot and headphone jack maybe are present on other smartphones (and workarounds exist), but they lack on other things mentioned.
@AndreiVadan18 сағат бұрын
It's not just front firing speakers, they are kind of equal in power. Wind reduction is another feature that's not available on other phones. Camera button is not available on other phones. And Sony beats Samsung at making photos, but you need to learn photography tips... Samsung S24 Ultra has more noise in photos and it's ergonomics are really bad. I don't like notches, so no thanks, I prefer a clean Android which always works fast.

The Oneplus 13 is not much more of an upgrade from the 12. If it was truly a flat screen then maybe I would think about it but they went to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra screen type and it is still rounded. I will pass and just keep my Oneplus 12 which is a great phone.
