@@GamereY0T I haven't had any of those issues and no one I know personally has said anything about that to me, so I can only say what I've heard. You would be fine to buy refurbished, try the phone for a few days and if you don't like it return it. Apples return policy rules

Promotion is so negligible for me. I have low power mode on all the time anyway on my pro. And when it’s turned off automatically after a charge.. in the few minutes I scroll before turning it back on.. I really don’t care about the difference. I DO think the telephoto lens is useful on the pro while having 48mpxl on the 16 definitely helps the zoom compared to all other base iphones before it, the telephoto will still out-reach it and definitely provides more natural selfies and compression. To me- the only positive of the 16 is the lighter weight. And the main positive of the pro is the telephoto lens. Super tough call when thinking of which to get my dad lol.

The Camera Control button is, in my opinion, the worst feature this year. It is terribly fiddly and awkward to use. It seems totally superfluous and unnecessary. And the biggest downside? It actually *slows* down your picture-taking task! It's much faster just to use the on-screen controls. This button was ill-conceived. Instead of *removing* buttons from the iPhone, Apple decided to *add* new buttons such as the Action button and the Camera Control button. Steve Jobs must be spinning in his grave like a lathe. I sincerely hope they remove this feature in the next iteration of the iPhone (17 or 18) after users express their displeasure.

Probably the biggest difference maker with the camera module (If I’m correct) is that the 16 has a new lossless file format to where it eliminates the artificial image sharpening that makes every photo and video look grainy/noisy. Huge selling point for a lazy photographer/videographer like me.

Great video. Last month I was in for a new iPhone. The iPhone 16 was announced but I was also looking at the iPhone 15 Pro. I did some research into the differences between these two iPhone models. I was astonished by the colors of the new 16. But I thought buying an iPhone only for its color wouldn’t be a great decision. After a week I had made my mind up and decided to buy the iPhone 15 Pro. Better cameras (the 16 actually doesn’t utilize optical zoom, it just cropping the image), faster usb c port (15 Pro has usb c 3.1 gen 2, iPhone 16 uses usb c 2.0 with slow data transfer), titanium body instead of aluminum, better display (120Hz Pro Motion), always on display, iPhone 15 Pro also supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 and older do not support Apple Intelligence. Only iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max and iPhone 16/16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max), capable of shooting ProRes video with ACES and also log video, the price: I’ve payed less than a new iPhone 16 entry level would cost me, and a lot more. It’s really worth its price this iPhone 15 Pro. Sure, it doesn’t have the new camera button, but you can use the action button on iPhone 15 Pro to use it as a camera button, so.. I have a 15 Pro currently and I’m the furthest thing from a heavy user, basic utilities, zero social media, music & podcasts. The 15 Pro definitely has thermal issues, it gets hot with basic tasks and I know I’m not the only one that has the issue. Another issue has been battery life. My standard 13 had much better battery life even with 90% battery health. I’m debating going to the standard 16 just for battery and thermal improvements. Idgaf about ProMotion or the telephoto. I want a phone that lasts me a full 2 days and doesn’t get hot while using notes and calculator.

I'm left handed as well, that sounds pretty good! The fact that you have to use the camera button with your right hand in landscape mode doesn't really bother me, it's just like with an actual camera where the shutter button is on the right. We just have to adapt, I'm sure we get used to it lol

there seems to be a noticeable increase in battery for iphone 16 (3561 mah )vs 3274 mAh for iphone 15 pro. Once AI features will pile up, the battery will have to endure much more so i would go with iphone 16.

In my country IPhone 15 Pro is actually 13% more expensive than IPhone 16. Also I am based in UE, so there will be no Apple Intelligence any time soon. Taking into consideration those factors would you still choose IPhone 15 pro? There are some problems with availability of iPhone 16 tho. Many thanks for recommendations!

got myself 15pro for €950 while regular 16 is for €1000, I think whoever is stuck with these two choices would be happy with iPhone 15 pro considering almost similar price tag. That extra camera on 15 pro is good, plus small form factor, 120 hz and not having that useless button for camera control is a big deal to me because it is simply impractical.

I've just sold my 14 Pro and bought a 15 Pro. 15 Pro is lighter and if like me you don't use a case, you won't get fingerprints round the side rails with the titanium like you get with the stainless steel on the 14 Pro. Audio is better too on the 15 Pro.

The 16 is an incremental improvement over the 15, which was an incremental improvement over the 14, which was an incremental improvement over the 13, which was an incremental improvement over the 12. If you own any of these older iPhones, you do not need to upgrade (unless your device is dying). They all take good photos and videos, so the camera is not a good reason to upgrade. They all play your average video game well enough, so the processor is not a good reason to upgrade. The Action and Camera Control buttons are not a good reason to upgrade. Apple Intelligence is likely not a good reason to upgrade; this feature is too gimmicky. My advice? Wait for a truly groundbreaking revision of the iPhone. Skip this one for now.

biggest problem with the base 16 imo is that it CAN'T shoot in ProRes/LOG... that's why I think 15 Pro is a better choice.

imo, if u used to 120hz, 60hz would be a problem. but if u havent used 120hz for daily phone, 60hz its fine. i mean i know the difference because i am using 11 base and my brother using 13pm. i love the 120hz but 60hz still fine for me

Now let me refine your comment a18 scores 20% more better than the 17 pro 17 pro has a extra gpu core its all needed because it runs over 120hz but A18 despite being a normal chip is actually slightly better but sadly the 60hz display given on 16 restricts the overkill cpu performance but i really dont feel a massive deference between 60 and 120 I own a 16 plus its damn good upgraded from 12 Massive battery backup it has near to nowhere heating issue perfect camera photo optimisation is better due to the new 18 so the camera really shows a slight difference due to the new gen cpu if i had a 14 pro or 15 pro or i could hve Never upgraded to 16 plus But from 12 to 16 plus its damn good with a flagship processor bigger display than the 15 pro and damn good battery backup it stays Upto 1.5/2 days upto my use but the battery backup is perfect ❤ But

Yeah just got the 15PM cause the 16 having a button on the side means nothing to me when I can just press the camera button on the camera app or change the action button to a camera button also lol. I upgraded from the regular iPhone 13 btw.
