What about the overheating with iPhone 15 Pro? That is still a problem and it’s what’s keeping me from going for the 15 pro

Last month I got the 12.9 inch iPad Pro 1 TB Wi-Fi Cellular with the Apple magic keyboard and the Apple Pencil 2, all for $1100. Very happy with it. Only drawback is I have no warranty at all, but my four year-old 11 inch iPad Pro, (pre M-series) was still working perfectly. Sold that for $550. And I saved over $1500 versus buying the new M4 versions of these items.

I agree, the cellular option has attractive advantages. I have one, but I have not installed it with cellular yet. I think it will be ok.

18 hours is abysmal battery life, that's the biggest thing keeping me from buying another 1. I'm trying to talk myself into it buuuuuuut.

Instead of buying “the latest shiny thing” I always consider if a replacement is actually required. I have to talk myself into upgrading and if there’s enough justification I go through each model seeing which offers the best return on investment and future proofing. The equipment needs to be fit for purpose with a bit of room for expansion. Only now am I replacing our 2017 MacBook Pro with a 2024 M4 Pro. I was looking at the Air, but by the time you spec it up you’re in Pro territory. It’s not top spec because it’s not required but enough to see us for 3-4 years. The last one was an i5 that saw 7 years and will now be gifted to a family member.

I’m looking at this on my iPad mini 5th gen! And it’s just as good as the day I bought it,my wife told me to upgrade,but I don’t see any reason why? I’m just gonna wait for the 8th gen maby then if it has a OLED display? Just bought a new 2022 iPad Pro M2 chip, instead of the 2024 oled model I don’t see any difference between it and my mini 5? Sometimes newer isn’t better? I also have the iPhone 13 pro max and my wife got the 16 pro max, if it’s not broken then don’t fix it? All apple cares about anymore is the stupid camera upgrades! I’m not a photographer so I don’t really care for a fancy camera?

I have now bought ipad air 13 inch. It is really good and from student pov, it is of the same width as A4 paper sheet so it is very convenient for me. If you are not an professional artist, then I would suggest you to go for it.

Try a PHYSICAL version of a book. They don't require refresh rates, and they certainly don't permit ads, distractions, etc. I rarely recommend the digital versions of my books over their awesome linen wraps. I've been wrestling with getting an audio-only device for a while now. Something to use for audiobooks, podcasts, and music. I wanted to get a Boox Palma b/c of the long battery life, but when I think about it, it probably makes better sense to just get a midrange Android without a SIM. Completely agreed re:refresh rate. I'm frankly confused by the sheer amount of complaining about 60Hz. Completely agreed re:telephoto lens. I'd even go as far as to say the wideangle lens is about as useless, so I'm weirdly excited for next year's iPhone Air ditching both and only keeping the main one. 15 pro just started overheating last month had it since it came out but my phone only overheats when using my cinematic camera or CapCut

I am thinking of switching from my 15 Pro to the 16 classic.. because of the very bad battery quality.. I got this phone for 13 months now and only 330 charging cycles but it has dropped down to 88% maximum capacity.. that's a bummer to me. I always use 60 hz refresh rate to get more battery life but still it doesn't do it for me anymore.. I have to charge every day now. or I just spent some hundred bucks for a battery replacement repair. not sure yet :)

Great heads up on the charging cable - I just ordered one. Regarding the subject of the video, I love my iPad mini 2nd generation (I got it brand new over 10 yr ago). It's my ebook reader and perfect for seeing my set lists and lyrics during performances. I'm going to have to upgrade b/c iOS 12 is the farthest it will update to and I have a iOS app to control my PA that will only run on iOS 14 or later. I still may try a refurbished regular iPad from Amazon to see if I like the bigger real estate.
