Bro.. I saw both of them today in the store... Not even close.. The I phone 16 pro natural titanium was the best color I've seen on a phone... I fell in love... The size of 6.3 was insanely good I think it's the best size phone for me.. The normal one was a bit small and I didn't like it.. Something I also loved for the pro model was the weight... It was heavy... I loved it.. You knew you were holding something very premium... It was insane feeling... I'll buy it in February 😊😊 insane phone...let me also mention something that people forget.. The pro has a cooling system.. Better battery and that means it's going to perform better compared to the normal 16 under tough conditions...

I agree the sensor part about the camera control is a really confusing part about the iPhone 16 series for me... Can you easily swipe through all the options it gives? It lets me skip only one option at a time, while I want to scroll through the controls

I have an iPhone 16 plus and I can tell you that the photos are spectacular, almost at the pro level. Of course, it obviously doesn't have the zoom that the pro models have, but since I rarely use it, I don't care. The zoom up to x5 of IP16 plus is really remarkable, it looks optical! And even digital at 10x is not bad at all.

Concerning your issues with the camera control button, my suspicions are in line with yours, because of the sapphire and the capacitive nature, temperature will affect the use cases where you don't full press the button

I have the iPhone 16 Pro in Natural Titanium, 1TB and filmed my unboxing on my channel! I'm in love with it. I've always got the max for years and years but the 16 pro feel much more comfortable in my hands as i use my phone for my day job and to manage my businesses. In my opinion, the iPhone 16 is a really good phone! It will be great for almost anyone. It will have Apple intelligence just like the pro. Also a 48 megapixel camera, macro photography and the camera control. In some of the battery tests I’ve seen the 16 actually performs better than pro! So unless you need the pro features then the 16 is perfect. (It’s also cheaper)

I adjusted the sensitivity of the camera control slider from default to light in the accessibility menu. made a big difference. now I can easily adjust the camera control. but I do wish I could customize the camera control to only display the options I plan to use.

Great video as always Steven! I think a comparison with the compact fixed lens rangefinder style cameras like the x100vi would be very interesting to see for straight out of camera results. Yes the experience of shooting is very different but seeing as how apple is now allowing us more control than before with the tone gradient sliders and styles, how well could it do as the camera we always have on us as compared to the results from dedicated compact cameras? Thanks a lot for the support! Proper cameras still win in the image quality, cannot beat the physics, but I think the main advantage of phones is the size, especially when you're traveling, so I personally still carry sometimes my full frame camera with me, but more often I find myself using just the phone instead. I think people are trading size for the image quality, although the main camera on the phones is pretty good with the videos, especially if watched on a smaller display, a viewer is less likely to notice any difference to be honest.

For the 90% of my daily usage iPhone 16 is more than worth but sometimes i would love having a better zoom for some pics and it’s unacceptable that apple still put 60hz on standard models. I like the base model, it's compact, main camera is pretty decent too, I show the zoom comparison and image quality in that video, so it's not 5x optical of course, but it's alright. Also not sure how important is the battery life for you? 60 hz is embarassing I agree, but if you can live with that otherwise iphone 16 base model a good option

The issue is that how its upgrades are applicable to an average user. I think that's why most people downgrade it. Considering majority of their users are not photography of videography enthusiast's For someone whose interested in photography and videography, like you, I would say this is the perfect smartphone. I love the EV slider on my older iPhone, much more reliable than the one on my Google Pixel IE it gives you the precise EV stops IE -0.3, +0.7, +1.0 etc, Google doesn't show these numbers/ values on their slider . Google processing overides these settings too whereas my iPhone doesn't

IPhone 16 start from 13mm (ultra wide-macro) to 26mm optical, 4,6X to arrive a virtual 120mm with the digital zoom, the 16 pro start from 13mm to 24mm and 500% digital zoom to arrive to 120mm otpical, it's insane for a photographer, the 16 no Pro or the 15 Pro is a correct choice for a photographer.

How is the skin on your hands? I’ve noticed this too with my iphone 12 pro. At work my hands get dry and rough. And the screen is not as responsive until I wash my hands and the moisten up again. My finger tips get calluses and it will not register them. Could that be your problem also?

The iPhone 16 is great! I can't believe some people are talking it down because of lack of Ai. I'm hoping to be able to get one for my wife and I each - pink for her and teal for me - but we'll need to save up for a while... Definitely the best iPhone ever. And SO good to see Apple bringing the same features to both phones. It should always be like that. The pro should get features like log and manual mode but everything else should be on the regular iPhone too

I think it's Apple's marketing, they on purpose did not give any AI features upon the launch event, to get publicity. Once they will launch the AI features, everyone will start talk about it again, which will result in boost of sales and extra promotion on social media. They are playing chess here I think. Do you agree?

@@StevenDivish Possibly. However this Ai stuff takes time to get right, especially if they are not using anyone else's tech (eg openAi) to do it. Their servers are also going to be private and auditable by 3rd parties. That's a big deal and not easy to implement. Remember the big backlash against Google for no privacy in search, android or any of their products? Apple wants to avoid that and as far as I can tell is the only company doing it this way. Personally I don't think Ai will be that useful to most people, it's a bit overhyped imo, so I don't care if my phone doesn't have it. I'm currently on Android but want to move back to iPhone this year. I just need to wait until I can afford it. The Apple ecosystem really does offer a lot more than android and the Google ecosystem and I'm just not satisfied with what Google offers on Android anymore.
