iPhone 17 Air Is Coming, Here's Why It Matters!

Making the Air line more expensive than the Pro line would be a great way to make the Air an unsuccessful launch in my opinion. Worse battery life, less camera options, slower chip, likely less RAM…but more expensive because it’s a fraction thinner? No shot… they better get that under the $1000 mark.

Pricing for the Air model is expected between the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro.

It'll have to be priced based on its specs - is it more or less powerful than the base model and each of the other versions around it? If it's priced higher than another iPhone while having lower specs, a thin form won't be enough justification and it won't sell well. People aren't looking for the thinnest phone, they want a phone that has what they want, and is also thin.

I am on my 13 pro still and apart from the battery being shot, its absolutely fine. The 17 needs to be good to get me to upgrade.

Doubt it will be the most expensive version, probably in the $900-1000 range. Also if it will get a high refresh rate screen, it should be optimized for a smaller battery. For example, activates less frequently than on a pro model or does 90 Hz trickery

Dolphin. ;-) I think this device would be very good and appealing for my wife. She now uses an iPhone 14 Pro primarily for the screen and the photo capabilities. But it’s too bulky for her. If the iPhone 17 Air gives at least the same amount of battery life, I think it’s a no-brainer.

i think most people would prefer more battery life than thinner esp for a phone since the weight is relatively insignificant. And even in the bigger ipads, many people would rather have the device slightly thicker and heavier to increase battery life.

The problem with the Pros is weight. I have the Pro Max and while I like it sometimes I get sick of the size and weight. Apple clearly can’t reduce weight of the Pros or any iPhone without dropping hardware. I just do who would chooses the Air instead of the regular iPhone even if it has a better screen
