iPhone 6 Plus Review

I've been a heavy android user for 5 years while trashing expensive apple up until now. Yes on paper the iphone specs are outdated but specs aren't everything and I had to realize that the hard way. I feel as if androids are moving too fast without taking time to perfect their products. All they care about is specs. IPhone 6's 8MP camera is out doing a lot of android flagships right now and the UI is beautiful IMO. I was hoping for something different with android L but didn't quite get it. iPhone 6 Plus otw.

I just got my iPhone 6 plus earlier today after 5 weeks of waiting for it to ship. I have owned a galaxy since I've been in the smartphone game. So far, I am very impressed. Keep in mind that my last phone was a galaxy s3. Therefore, my opinion may be different from others. I debated between this or a Note 4 for a while, and watched a crap load of videos trying to determine which one to get. I have always been a android kinda of person, and have talked bad about iPhones. However, I decided that no matter what I watched or read, I would never really know unless I gave them a shot (I honestly felt like it was time to switch it up). If you are like me and just use the phone for videos, gaming, and social media .... Iphone is the way to go. I came from android, so using one hand on a large device is no issue for me 90% of the time. Pros: 1) Great camera: in low light or whatever situation, this phone has shown great quality. (Have not printed any pictures though). 2) The performance has been extremely quick and responsive. 3) it's straight to the point, and you get matters done quickly. 4) Even with a Spigen Tough Armor case, it feels really comfortable. Cons: 1) I don't think the video quality of KZbin is as detailed as on my GS3. 2) not many features. (Pro or Con). 3) iPhones tend to bother my eyes haha 4) Few apps don't look great on the plus. Overall, I think it's a good change if you have never owned one before. I don't do all the crazy sh*t android is capable of. The phone is just a pleasant change I was wanting. Seems like all Galaxies have gone to shits for me after about a year of using them. I want a phone that stays smooth the entire time I use it. That being said, it does what u want it to do with hiccups. It wil vary based on what u have experienced in the past, and that is about it. I have time to swap it out so if you are borderline, give it a shot.... Same for if u are an iPhone user debating on whether or not, try the other. I am very happy with my choice as of now. I find it baffling that this thing starts at 16GB. Why? A lot of people aren't even going to be able to update it to iOS 9 because they bought the entry model, and they'll have to spend a good amount of time deleting photos and uninstalling applications just to get it. No high end phone should come with such paltry storage.

Went to Best Buy and compared the LG G3 with the 6 Plus. As an iPhone 5 user I just wasn't ready for the lag and delayed reactions I experienced on the G3 while viewing desktop websites. I don't have time to waste on forums debugging basic issues such as laggy operation, which is why I'll gladly pay more for the iPhone 6 Plus - the brighter screen and superior battery life are also a plus compared to the G3.

Nice review and phone, i use droid turbo and htc m7 and am squashing the beef i have with apple and going to add this to my toy list. I work for Verizon and will tell you that phones like the note 4 sony droid turbo that have 16 or 21 cameras can't touch apples camera when you're taking a picture at night with a high ISO. Basically, apples camera is half as good as droid in day light, twice as good at night with little to no grain. With that being said, there's a time and place for both devices and i think everyone needs to stop hating each other like you're in middle school.... IOS and android are at the level where they are both amazing. Nice review as always

I will be getting the iPhone 6plus. Used to own an android phone, grow tired of it crashing, freezing up, having to take out the battery to reset it. After a while it started to run slow and apps would crash. No problems with my iPhone 5.

it is big enough to use for reading and movies. I loved the curved glass on the screen, its just delightful. but the iphone 6 looked amazing as well.

MobileTechReview Thanks for touching on the Android quad core cpus vs Apple's dual core cpu. After seeing the phone in action though, it's definitely snappy! I really am impressed with this phone. If I needed a new phone, wanted to switch over to Apple, and if my life weren't embedded into Android (all my app purchases and stuff), then I'd definitely consider this.

Only with an option to turn it off. Might work fine with dance/electronic/R&B type music but with classical and jazz it turned bass into sonic mush. Tried it on a friends Touchpad way back when. No problem it being there for those that want it but for me Beats Audio ruined otherwise perfectly good music.

I have been an android user for about 3 years now. I recently made the switch from the Note 3 to the iPhone 6+. I must say I am highly impressed. The apps for IOS are much better than android. The UI for the apps are damn near flawless. But at the end of the day all that matters is what the consumer is looking for in a phone. People who argue over who is better IOS VS Android you have to realize that the CEO's can care less simply because they are becoming wealthy from consumers.

To dear beloved Haters, I have totally no idea why would you spend your time bashing on every single iPhone videos. Why don't you guys just search up for some android phones and give some positive comments there instead of wasting time here. You know, you haters come to an iPhone video and bashing it down. It makes us feel like you're either jealous of the iPhone users OR you want to tell the world that your android phone is worth your buck just so you can feel better using it. There is a reason why iPhone is so famous. It's not just the marketing strategy. Go grab your android 2012 device and try to market it like iPhone in 2014. Sorry to to say it's not gonna happen. I use android phone too and I find it's features are just amazing. But for day to day task, I'd prefer iOS instead because it's so simple and blazing fast on every tasks. Android on the other hand has some serious multitasking wonders. Apple has not been utilizing it's beautiful 5.5". So, I really can't find a reason why would haters spend time going videos to videos on a product they hated so much just so they can leave a negative comment there. They're so pitiful. A detailed review. I've already seen enough to drop my Galaxy Note 2 for the iPhone6 Plus...waiting on delivery. I originally copped the Note because I was tired of the tiny iPhone 4 screen. The Note had more customizability, functions, and bells & whistles than the iPhone, but they never really got regular use (stylus, multitask view, windowed apps). Basically, Twitter, email, texts, RSS reader, KZbin, day organizer, is all I need. Whether I was on my old Blackberry 8706e & Bold, the iPhone 4, or now the Note 2, I use phones for doing the simple, heavy use stuff. I adapted to Android, but iOS did all of the things I mentioned just a bit better. It seems variations in a phone's technical specs don't really impact its ability to do those heavy use functions that most folks use a device for in daily life, so I'm not sure why guys on here are beating Apple over the head with the spec stick. And I actually did find it true that apps on iOS were more polished in function and appearance (sorry for using the p- word). Apps like Instapaper, Score Mobile, Evernote, etc., looked better on my old iPhone, had better interfaces, and did more. I will miss the stylus though. I only used it a couple of times every few months, but there were some use-cases where it was a critical tool. The slide in storage for the stylus is genius, wishing the iPhone had that. Time for a change, got upgrade eligibility, so I had to grab the iPhone 6. It's that simple, and some Android devotees on here should try it. Your phone is just a tool, not a representation of your internal worth or intelligence, so spice up your life maybe with a new purchase. One can always go back, just like I'm doing. Just letting you cats on here know it's ok to try something different. I'm sure the Note 4 will be a beast and I will miss the stylus, but I think I want that iOS experience again. I'll check back in when the next Note hits around my upgrade time.

It's funny how android fans call anyone who prefers iPhones "fan boys", when you're android "fan boys". Super high end specs really don't impact the average user. A8 chip is optimized to work with ios 8 and works seamlessly for everyday use. I have a rooted htc one m8 and will be getting the iPhone 6 because I like certain core functions better like the camera, imessage (most friends and family use ios), and the main apps I use work better on ios in my opinion. I've had owned a GS3 and a note 3 so it's not like I haven't used my fare share of Android devices. I just know what I prefer in my phone experience. I don't need to change every aspect of my phone, all I really care about it a good camera, texting, and a fluid experience. But hey, it's my opinion and what I like. In the end, that's all that matters since everyone wins with all the high end phones coming out now.

Lisa, Great in depth review as always. I have a question for you. I know that the Verizon iPhone 6 plus is carrier unlocked and one can get a 4G signal if an AT&T SIM card is inserted instead of the Verizon SIM card. My question is: Will the Verizon iPhone 6 plus be able to access AT&T or T-Mobile LTE network if it has the SIM card from AT&T or T-mobile? Will the LTE work or is it just going to be 4G (HSPA) on those other networks. Thanks for all that you do with these great reviews.
