Wow, first of all he was using a launcher, second of all when the facebook app loaded up like 5 secs earlier on the M8 he said it was no significant difference, third he tested a few apps, meaning inaccurate results since some apps are better optimized for ios or android, and last but not least he tested temple tun and angry birds, both of which aren't properly optimized to take advantage of android's speed, nuff said. Also, ios 8 is a new ios and does give ios a slight lead, when android L comes out then the comparison is a little fair, and of course the stock version.

If you watch again, the M8 loaded facebook faster, but showing old content. However, the iphone didn't waste time with that and loaded new content immediately, several seconds faster than the m8. Watch closely bae

Chris Be The app and every function loaded faster on the M8, meaning you could get anywhere you want faster, and since iPhone has weaker RAM of course it will ignore all of the old content and skip to the new one, the M8 still got to the new one on time as well, stop looking for excuses.

When I open facebook, I'd rather see only new content faster, rather than old content, then new content slightly slower. Not hating, looks like a good phone. If I wanted a droid phone, if have one. Simply prefer apple

Difference is one's running iOS and the other is running Android. IOS is like an older car with carburetor and no obd. Just turn it on drive. Android is like a high tech Hyper car with Launch control 100s of settings for suspension,throttle response, limited slip differential, traction settings, etc...etc.... One is pure passion and the other is pure adrenaline pleasure. Which is good. What ever works for you is good for you.

Considering the M8 is 6 months old, much cheaper and will be getting the latest Android software which will run on ART, which is much faster than Dalvic I'm happy I've got the HTC One M8. But I'll be interested to see what different outcome to the comparison running Android L would do.

I had the Iphone 6 and returned it for the HTC M8 hardon Edition to find I'd rather have the iPhone 6. The graphics are better and pop more to me on the iPhone 6. It also appears to be easier to use as well. Today I'm going back to sprint to get my iPhone 6. I wish I had seen your video earlier.

IPhone 6 does not have a Retina display. Enable developer options on the M8 change runtime to ART and check extreme CPU option. Run the test again.

I'm not on the side of either phone here, but when the HTC has a significant lead over the iPhone in your words its only a 'Slight lead', but when the iPhone has the lead it is unsurprising and probably in your eyes much better. The addition of the launcher on the One M8 also won't help.

Comparing apps opening times is not a valid benchmark in any way. Low resolution on iPhone6 enables it to run GPU intensive operation a bit faster.

For my M8(using blinkfeed launcher) I got 967 & 2820 for geekbench. And on some other guy's 6+ benchmark he got 1630 & 2920. But on 3DMark ice storm extreme the M8 has better fps avg 51fps M8 & 45fps 6+. Also, battery life is similar. These results finally conclude that the iOS optimization isn't that much better than Android & both the Snapdragon 801 & A8 perform very similarly.

HTC has a built in feature that never really turns the phone off completely in order to boot it up lightning fast. If you don't disable it (besides when battery dies) the ONE M8 will boot up faster than almost any other phone in the market

I have a iphone 6 plus with 64 GB and really happy with it I use a cover to prevent from bending and breaking, I watch videos in 1080p and they look awesome, I play games smoothly and I use it to records videos edit them with iMovie for free and share them on KZbin and Also I use watsapp a lot for texting as well so for me it's really useful and I'm happy that I bought it.

Unlock the developer mode first then do the speed test HTC one m8 only uses 50% of its cpu untill you unlock that then it's at its fullest potential I own a m8 an did it after having it rooted and unlocked fastest phone I seen

The iPhone decimates when it comes to gaming and graphical performance. If you wanna game on a smartphone (not including emulators) the iPhone is definitely the way to go. Both phones are fantastic choices. It just depends on what works best for the individual. I myself opted for the iPhone 6 after owning a Samsung Galaxy Ace II and definitely feel I made the right choice for me. I'm loving my experience. If I could afford a second device however I would likely go for the Moto X. I love both Android and iOS. I just prefer iOS for my needs at the moment.

IPhone if you don't use your phone much and like UI. Htc one m8 for customization, features, and overall freedom to do what you want. Also if you like having a lot of music or apps, the m8 will save you A TON of money.

Temple run 2 is not optimized what so ever on the HTC one m8 when it was launching it had black spacing on the sides and not it didn't take advantage of Emerson mode I don't get why reviewers choose temple run as a speed test app when the game hasn't been optimized but it's sad apple still didn't make an improvement on speed the m8 launched in March wayyy earlier this year and I do own a m8 if you must know

HTC only makes their screen look big, while it actually isn't. Look at 4:29! You got the speaker bezel, then the black screen bezel with the HTC logo on it and then on top of it you have the screen bezel! 3 bezels! That is rediculous. Massive phone with a tiny screen. When choosing a new phone i will always go with android. I recently got the new HTC one m8 and it feels amazing in the hand and it is crazy fast. basically with apple it is wat u c is wat u get but with android u get a hundred more features with the phone (ui blaster, boom-sound and heaps more) i think that the HTC one m8 is a better phone for money whilst the I phone 6 is just a toy like device.

HTC one M8 vs iPhone 6=iOS vs Android. The phones are really very similar in performance and cameras etc. Its really a battle of the os. If you like android then get the HTC one M8 and if you like iOS then get the iPhone. For me I like the simplicity and sleek look of iOS so I'm getting the iPhone but if you like android then get the HTC. Now stop all of this arguing and just choose what you prefer neither is better than the other.

Both phones are beasts. I think there is no poin of making phones even faster in a mobile OS. Apple bumped up iPhone's 6 speed 25%. No so faster than last year. Galaxy S5 is not so faster than Galaxy S4 too; and that is right for me. Smartphones have to manage GPU performance...Apple already launched "metal" which is revolutionary in mobile gaming performance! You do have 5 times better graphics and more details with the same processor and thats what i want from a mobile device! I dont want a haswell and an i5 intel processor on my iPhone or my HTC! I dont want more heat! What i want is a faster phone, with faster and better graphics without sacrifice Battery life or making my "mobile" phone HUGE just to fit a Huge battery. For my opinion, the future is "beast performance" through "less demanding" OS's and processors. There is no point to scaled up something that no change much.
