Thank you so much for the video, a great Job done, I have an important advice for you and I hope you take it seriously. You must install a ventilator which I don't see that you are using one to help you suck all the smoke from welding, flux, etc.... It's not good at all to smell and breath this as it will by time will effect your health. Cheers.

I don't know how many of these type of videos that I have watch but I am always amazed that you have the skills to be able to solder such tiny objects. Even under the microscope they look small but to see the actual size of them on the desk when you pop them out of the packaging, I am continually astounded.

I enjoy watching STS Telecom and Rossman. I know these KZbinrs mostly work on Apple products and I'm thinking how large the scale of economic opportunity is in this field of electronics repair beyond Apple products and small electronic devices. I want to learn not only how to fix small devices but also, electric cars, appliances, and all kinds different things with electronic circuits inside. The opportunities in this work field are very large. Thankyou for this great content! It inspires me to think above and beyond!

Amazing, exactly same repair I did on Monday and I couldn't find a video. My track also removed on the diode but managed to get some solder on the remaining small visible track pin point and diode soldered to that. Plenty of UV on it.
@daverose87722 жыл бұрын
Your jumper wire material is varnish coated. You had tremendous difficulty getting that recreated "loop pad" flowed down to that tiny pad fragment due to the varnish on the wire. It appears to be motor winding wire which must be stripped of the varnish insulation first. Use #600 wet/dry paper to strip it, or gently scrape it with the blade well and finish with acetone.
@zoomlocker6 жыл бұрын
i did the exact same repair last week!! same pad, had to do a loop from the glass diode and then the coil.
@TheDataRecovery6 жыл бұрын
Had one of these recently. I can soldering and do BGA no problem but never spent time learning diagnosing. I had one 6s water damaged where diode would burn, changed IC but didn't change that CAPACITOR now i feel like calling that customer back lol

Another very good video! I have an iPhone 11, Logic board is really bad, caps removed all over the board. Someone who did not know what they were doing really messed it up. And on the facebook marketplace, they are asking so much for a unlocked iPhone, with bad screen etc. they are asking so much for them, can't afford that.
@Wilson84KS6 жыл бұрын
Great work! One hour gone and I'm not missing it. But funny how you said before that you have should tin that one diode first and I just think 'do it now, just to be sure' but then you swap the ic instead of checking this one diode, that just shows that it's by far not that easy like you make it look like the most time, there can be several things all the time causing problems and you have just to decide with which of them you begin. Thanks for showing us and explainig all the time what you do, I'm really curious about trying microsoldering myself.

You are amazing! I can't thank you enough for your channel and videos (and this one in particular). You gave me confidence to try micro-soldering and attempt data recovery on my wife's phone. And I did it!! I removed my first shield based on your instructions, diagnosed the short with a power supply, and found the short to be the big cap from this video! (I cheated with a thermal imager tho :) The phone booted and I just finished pulling all the photos off of it (blindly, cause no backlight lol) BTW this is after the local repair shop spent 3 days messing around with it, changed the charging IC and said it needs a new main board, and didnt want to even attempt data recovery! Thank you again! Please keep up the amazing content. PS I might be sending it your way to put the cap and diode back :) sorry for the mess

Hi Jason, If you have ZXW and Blackfish open together.. It does the same as Easydraw, In that if you select a component on the pcb it will automatically go to it and highlight it on the schematic :) Cheers, John

Desperation maybe.. hehe.. Honestly, could have been the difference of being more comfortable with leaded solder but without re-watching the video, I may have seen less solder on those 2 pads/jumper than before. Probably more like desperation :D

Hameed Cole Ikea. I purchased a 7' × 3' desk with adjustable height for $110. And the wall mounted shelves were maybe, $7. If you're looking for a prefab desk with shelves, they had those too.

Thank you. I bought this bench from a local business that was getting rid of furniture. It was used as their front counter for their customer service area. The monitor is 43".
