I wish I had found you earlier. I had the exact symptom and sent it to a guy on eBay who said he did the microsoldering but that the shadow was still there so he advised to replace the lcd screen. So I sent it to another guy on eBay who replaced the lcd but the shadow was still there who said it’s the backlight. So almost a $100 spent and still have a phone with the shadow effect.

On Iphone 6 Plus (IOS 12) - Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Display Adaption (or Increase Contrast or smth like this) -> Reduce White Point worked for me
@Netryon Жыл бұрын
Okey, you want to do this - and there is so much you need - every repair tool. You think that repair is worth it if smartphone or pc is not able to run latest apps and understanding the datasheet might not be hard 3:24 this would be that tool making it easier to understand and after everything everything is under some glue.

its common sense you need someone that can repair at component level because its usually a blown diode if your lucky

I think my backlight is dead. When you talk about a dead backlight is it a problem with the motherboard or the screen? As in if i bought a replacement screen would it fix my issue?
@NorthridgeFix5 жыл бұрын
It's likely a problem with the motherboard not the screen.
@ikillfh8445 жыл бұрын
@@NorthridgeFix wow, great thanks apple. Literally dropped my OnePlus 3 in the ocean 2 years ago, replaced the screen and it still works fine to this day. Do a simple battery swap and the stupid iPhone craps itself out. Thanks for reply tho now I don't need to get a new screen at least

i had my screen changed and it is really dark now how do i fix that please help
@DigitalHavenTech6 жыл бұрын
Probably a defective screen, Unless by really dark you mean you can see only with a flashlight on it. in that case you need to fix your backlight issue on the board it self.

Hello. I do have the same issue. I was replacing my iPhone 6 Plus (A1522) screen+home button+and camera; after install it, I turn it on, and all was working properly, then I turn it off to put all the screws and close it, then puff, I have a half backlight and it stay on the apple logo. What can I do? Booth problems are the same, or what? Thanks....
@NorthridgeFix7 жыл бұрын
If everything was working before and you only experienced this problem after you put the screws in, it could be that you mixed the screws and may have put the long one where the short one goes causing long screw damage. If that's not the case, remove the camera and test again. Use another screen to eliminate the possibility that it could be the camera or screen. If all fails, then it's a board issue that requires troubleshooting and there is no correct answer anyone can give you without spending time inspecting the board.
@secureitips7 жыл бұрын
First at all, thanks for your response. Yes, I tried the original screen and the problem still. What can I do? I took it today to 2 different stores and they just look the screen and said "mboard, is dead". That's all. Any suggestion?
