I have a feeling that the iPhone 3G's screen was not stock. That's why it was such a weird shatter. You probably got it from eBay which is fine, but I'm betting that screen was just some junk aftermarket screen after the original owner ruined the normal one, hence why it got destroyed so easily. Please do this again in 2016/17. You need: 2G, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6+, 6S, 6S+, SE, 7 and 7+. Also in my opinion, my favourite iPhones (and the strongest ones i have) are the 4S and the 5S.

I can attest to the 4S being really durable. Back in Grade 10, I had one and I lost my grip on it on the stairs. I was on the second floor, so it fell around 6-9 metres and landed on it’s side. All that there was for damage was one antenna band was broken and my screen protector too. The actual screen was perfectly fine!
