iPhone 7 Camera Lens and Ring Holder Replacement

This video will demonstrate how to replace your the iPhone 7 camera lens without sacrificing your phones IP rating. You will also want to replace the adhesive gasket that seals the display assembly to the housing when you put the phone back together. I recommend removing the logic board just to be safe. You can probably do this repair without that step but the risk of causing serious damage seems more likely trying to work around it instead.

This is a great video if you need to replace your lens. I didn't bother pulling out the logic board, I just broke the glass out as in the video, cleaned the hole out with a 6mm drill bit, then bored it out with larger drill bits in 0.5 mm increments until the replacement lens/ring dropped in snugly (7.5 mm in my case), a blast of canned air to make sure it was clear of debris, a thin dab of epoxy around the hole and dropped the lens in, worked perfectly!

I followed your instructions and changed the camera and the lens cover. If you're careful, you don't need to remove the logic board and also glue is totally unnecessary. Anyway, many thanks!

im about to fix mine so theres no need to remove the logic board right? so i was worry about looking for cheap glue! do yo recomend me to do it with out glue?

Hi Everyone! Does someone know how to pull out the glass without breaking it? I have a non working iPhone 7 with a non cracked glass and a working iPhone 7 with no glass and want to make a lil exchange. Before you start, in my country it's not as easy to get a replacement glass as you might think. Thanks!

you don't have to remove the logic board to replace the camera glass...and that thing you just broke and you've got no use for it actually holds the camera in position...
