If you decide to replace the motherboard and you want a fully functional smartphone with fingerprint function (Touch ID) also you need to replace the home button. You need to buy a new motherboard together with a native button. In the description under the video, I left the links where you can buy a new motherboard for iPhone 7

will the logicboard of an iphone 6s work in a iphone 7? The iphone 7 is locked, it´s my dead brothers and it´s been sitting in a drawer for over a year now but it´s locked so I can´t use it. I didn´t really think about the thing until my GFs iphone 6s screen broke. Would the logicboard work with the size and the IO? I´m not an apple person and all of this closed and locked system shit gives me headaches :(

Unless you are some tech super genius and a mad scientist, it wouldn’t work. They are completely different models with different layouts inside. I know its a year late but hope this what somewhat helpful😂

@@yhas33r Update: I called apple a few days later and after some talking they unlocked it for me. At least one apple product that doesn't go to the dump. Still stuff like right to repair needs more attention. Apple E-Waste everywhere.

From my experience: I bought 3 times the motherboard on Aliexpress. they were working and without iCloud. I don’t know how to buy from India, I have no such experience. I use Visa or Mastercart cards for purchase
