There's a huge difference, the exposure is terrible on the iPhone 8 Plus. Look at the background when he's running, you can't see any of the sky it's just white. Highlights are overblown which was already an issue on the iPhone 7 and you can see here it's even worse on the iPhone 8 Plus.

I went from 7 plus to 8 plus and the 8 is a great phone! If you have he money I definitely recommend the upgrade. And the camera is actually way better than the 7, especially portrait mode, it can take a very very beautiful picture

Honestly speaking, looking at the images from a short distance away, the differences are really subtle. The camera on the iPhone 8 Plus seems to have a tendency to overexpose, most notably in the video samples (just look at the blue zones in the sky), which may explain why the shadows seem a little lighter too. In contrast, the iPhone 7 Plus actually seems to produce better contrast images despite having slightly less saturated colors. Both are great shooters but personally, I think the iPhone 7 Plus produces better looking images than the iPhone 8 Plus.

I think it really boils down to whether you want to shoot 4k at 60 fps or 30 fps. If you're fine with 30 fps then stick with your 7 plus.

Achmad Putra actually new hdr features r being added every year..but the downside is that the hdr effect is fixed we cannot adjust tge effect accoding to our needs..this one thing is present in lumia phones..the 950/950xl(i dont know about other models)..it gives the ability to adjust the hdr intensity as well flash intensity..that feature is needed in ios and android..they should have added it by now..

8 plus has much faster focus. I think the main difference between them is the way the processor is able to use computational photography. the 8 series has a much better processor.

I feel like the 1080p 240fps slow mo on the 8 is trash. 720p videos iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8/Note8 look sharper and have more detail lol. Also, 7 front facing has better dynamic range and the 7's camera is more realistic, when the 8 has overly strong HDR.

Seems to be slight tone differences with colour tone and light and low light better on iPhone 8 plus. As well as the focus is closer on iPhone 8, got an iPhone 7 Plus but the difference in colour and tone could be changed in edit, if someone wishes. Think I would like to give the galaxy note 8 a go had the note 4 and found the features great for illustrations etc using the stylus. But the price tag, think it’s always going to be a choice of android and IOS rather than the minor differences in iPhone updates.

for such minor improvements to the camera if u have an iphone 7 then its not worth an upgrade. Same with samsung... i use the S7 edge atm and i will wait til the S9 to upgrade because the camera on the S8 is almost the same with such tiny improvements and not worth the upgrade because the S7 camera is still amazing.

I would never upgrade just ONE TIER from a phone because there's never usually THAT big of a noticeable difference plus I want to get my money's worth out of the phone that I bought. After waiting two years, the differences in the phones is MUCH MORE APPARENT then all of these videos people upload just showing off the slight iterative differences between models that are only a year apart. I don't think I'm in the minority here as every single person that I know typically upgrades their phone every 2-3 years. Hell, my mom and her husband upgrade every two years but always go for the previous year's model because it's much cheaper at that point and she's always been happy with the performance upgrades. All i'm saying is that it'd be nice to see videos for all of these phones be it Android or iPhone that goes back two generations which would help to show to the average consumer the kind of jump they should be expecting.

the 8+ is better. It has the upper hand on all smart phone camreas as of right now because of the a11 chip which gives it better image processing.. idk if the pixel can even keep up with it this go around we'll just have to see.. either way tho, it's not drastically better than the s8,note 8,u11 ,or pixel by any means..However,in certain lighting an angles you can see more sharpness an color on the 8+ when compared to other flagships..

Not enough for upgrade if you already have a 7 plus. but if you're needing to upgrade your phone, and you have anything older than less than an iPhone 6s, then it's an absolutely worthy upgrade. Which is why I'm doing this, and will be my first apple phone since the 4s. :)
