trying to choose between a 7 plus and a 8 plus but both phones seem to cost the same as x/xr ebay wise around 225 not including tax. not very affordable and have no clue what the battery health/battery will be like.

@@toshibachromebook8505 if you are looking for a iphone 7 or 8 plus just look for the ones that has a 100% battery health even if seller installed the new battery themselves it works just as good. Or Even better . I bought the matte black which is my favorites and I happen to to across one that has 100% battery health was replaced and it works really good , or you can find one that good condition and If it has a poor battery you can have apple or find a repair shop to replace the battery . Or you can replace the battery if you want to .

Yes! It's still good! I am still using my 7 plus this year, it's still amazing. I am so careful handling this phone. Maybe in 2024 I'll change my phone. But as long as it's still working properly, it's great!

i used my 7+ for 5 years but battery was giving me headaches. i then bought 11 didnt even think about 12 or 13 because 7 was just perfect for me. except the night photos. i used android before 7+ and i had to change phones every 1.5 years. iphones are just fantastic.

I just updated iPhone 7 with iOS 15.4 few minutes ago. It’s a great phone. But the downside is always about the battery. I came from Realme budget phone but it last 2 days with normal usage like frequent use of messenger and scroll to Facebook. But iPhone 7 with 78% battery health, it last only for 2 hours before it reaches low battery levels. Still confused if changing battery would be worth it.

i recently moved from the 7 plus to the xr the only reason i moved on was due to call speaker was slowly breaking. people could not hear me only, on speaker mode. and the xr was giving to me. Overall i was very happy with the 7 i probably would of stayed with it. if not for the the phone speaker not working

I really liked the iPhone 7+, at the time it came out, I thought it's the best iPhone that I've owned. Currently, I'm using the Samsung Z Fold 2 and really enjoying it. Hopefully Apple will release their foldable phone soon.

Speaking this as someone who went from newer budget phone (galaxy a12) to older flagship (iphone 7 plus)..I traded my old phone for this iphone and I must say iphone performs way better , no bugs or issues whatsover , but battery is awful..after full charge battery on samsung would last 1.5 days while on iphone i have to charge it twice a day all though it has 100%BH..I think I will sell the iphone and buy a mid-range newer phone with good battery and decent performance for the same money

Lets be candid; smart phone cameras have come a long way and they're very good and will improve. Having said that, they still have severe limitation. Namely, they don't have great depth of vision and while they're great in daylight/natural light they struggle with darkness, depending on the model of phone you have. The iPhone 7 plus is workable; not as great as the 11 or whatever the latest version is now. I've seen people make pretty good movies with iPhone 5 and 6's and damned good ones with the 7 plus. So it CAN be done. Personally, if you want to do more, get either a DSLR or a mirrorless (and they have their limitations, too) or just spend the money and get an actual video camera. But with the 7 Plus, go and get a good moviemaking app that gives you control over the settings, an inexpensive gimbal and go and shoot. That's my recommendation.

Despite Apple’s hair brained decision to not have iOS 16 on the 7/+, it is a good phone and still worth buying. Consider the competition, people are currently buying brand new android devices with android 8 on them. iPhone 7/+ has 15.5. And should still get a couple years of security updates. As a company Apple is garbage, but they mostly do their products right.
