Go to Settings > Messages > Message Filtering -> unknown & spam -> turn on Filter unknown senders.

@thebabayagashow9211 When you open the text message app, at the top left do you see edit? If you do, touch edit, then these options should display, Select Messages, Edit Pins, Set Up Name & Photo then lastly Show Recently Deleted. I hope that works for you.

Everyone knows how to do that. This person’s explaining how to truly delete messages. It’s just like the trash can on a computer, if you don’t delete the trash from the trash it’s still accessible. If your phones low on storage, you don’t want your untrusting partner reading your deleted messages, you deleted a text that you meant to save and need it back etc etc. Then you have to delete the deleted or you can undo the accidentally deleted.

Yes, the other person will still see the text messages in their phone. You can only delete messages on your phone. If the person hasn’t read your message (and your iPhone is updated) you can unsend the message.

Yes you can. If you don’t have the message opened, without holding down slide the message to the left and you can either mute, delete or delete and report. If the message is open just hold-down on the message in the thread you want to delete and select more when the options pop-up, then you pick which messages you want to delete in that thread. You can go into settings, messages, filter unknown senders and it will sort the spammers into a separate list for you if that’s something
