My first iPhone bought on a release day was the se 2020. Love this phone but I may go for a 12 mini although I’m a 45 year old man so mightn’t need an amoled screen, a wide angle camera or face unlock like my son and daughter who have an 11 pro max and an Xs max respectively. My previous phone was an iPhone 7 which my wife now has, replacing her original se, which is now a backup phone for anyone who cracks a screen, along with a Samsung galaxy S7

I just bought an iPhone SE 2020 yesterday in 128gb (Black Friday sale) I have to say, overall I'm super satisfied with it! It really depends on what you need and how you want to use it for me just a day-to-day browsing, google, social media and stuff its more than enough camera is not bad at all. Highly recommended definitely will not break your savings totally.

I wish the 12 Mini was a refreshed SE with a screen going all the way to the top and keeping Touch ID. I just recently bought the SE 128GB over the 12 Mini because of Touch ID. The A14 isn't a huge leap over the A13 so discussions of speed difference is pointless. I may regret not getting a 5G phone but I figure Apple will release a "budget" iPhone SE 5G within the next 3 years.

I wanted a small phone as a backup to my iPhone 13. I looked at prices on both of these phones renewed on Amazon. I ended up with the SE 2020 at $199, vs $489 for the 12 Mini. I don';t think I've given up anything, speed wise. I may end up replacing the SE battery, which is at 92% battery health. I want it to last until it's no longer supported with software updates.

I do have "swiping up" issues from the lock screen with my 12 Mini (also camera and flashlight shortcuts). Hope this is a software issue and not a hardware one. Otherwise, we'll get a "you're swiping wrong" from Apple...

I think since the release of iPhone 12 Mini there's basically not a single reason to go for the SE 2020. Mini is just a much better phone with bigger screen, dual camera, and overall new and fresh design.

Is this normal? I was at 100% but dropped down to 90% in about 26 minutes of use, no heavy gaming just social media. Was wondering because I use an aftermarket charger and I know some aftermarket products can really mess up your phone.

It's not normal. Your battery's draining too fast and if you're using apple devices, you should definitely use their original charging bricks
