Huge respect for iPhone 7. It is nowhere slow compared to iPhone SE 2020 even with latest update. I guess iPhone 7 will last for 2 more years before it becomes absolute obsolete.

I just bought an iPhone 7 Plus recently to replace my iPhone 6s Plus, both phones I bought brand new for $199. Factory sealed and manufactured in 2018 so it’s not a battery that’s been sitting since 2016 or anything, but I absolutely love it. The A10 is still a beast of a processor, and apples processors have always been overkill. Also picked this up cause that was an amazing deal, I get the dual lens’s over the 6s plus I had, and still get to have the durable aluminum body in matte black. Sexiest color ever I think. Plus they just released an iPad in 2018 with the same processor so probably another 3-4 years of software support, I could see the iPhone 7 being the first iPhone to get 7ish years of support. At least the plus model as it does have 3Gb of ram, so if they can update the SE with 3 GB then the iPhone 7 Plus should be set for another 2-3 years! Insane what apple has done with their phones.

Just traded in my 7 for a SE. got 200 dollar trade for it. SE seems faster to me. However I drive at night in northern New Mexico and my 7 would drop calls at about 8 different places a night. This week with the SE I only drop calls in two of those places. So that was worth it to me.

The iPhone 7 and A10 is no slouch. Let’s be honest. Starting from the A10 Fusion thru the A13 Apple A series chips have been monsters. The iPhone 7 can beat some Android phones with a SD 855... think about that. The Snapdragon chip from 2019 is only minimally faster than the A10 Fusion from 2016 and not always. The iPhone 7 has always been my go back to iPhone and it still will be.

Yeah same here I guess I will buy this SE now since ios13 basically straight up destroyed my iPhone 7. 100% only in this position needing to buy a new phone because of ios13. I'm a tech head and basically the biggest difference is camera quality, overall battery life and some apps like my banking apps which run a second or two slower than an Iphone 11 pro max. Other than that the user experience is the same. I use a Note 10+ 5g for my daily driver, nothing beats this phone imo.
