The IPhone X is a legendary phone. The beginning of a new era in whole smartphone industry (Face ID). The SE is a performance beast and also has the world’s most iconic design. Difficult choice, but I would go the iPhone X mainly because its more modern looking. Thanks for the comparison ! I loved it.

Iphone SE is a good option for a secondary phone. I have a note 10 plus as my primary phone. Plan to buy an iphone SE to keep up with iMessage friends, airdrop files to my iPad Pro etc.

Apparently there's a video about how iPhone X battery can be replaced with "overcapacity" batteries that could give you iPhone 11 level battery. Sounds a bit too good to be true though so it would be great if you could investigate this and provide some clarity on that.

I bought my iPad Pro 11” last Feb2020, my first ever Apple device I owned. And last month I decided to change my phone and opt to get iPhone X instead of the new iPhone SE. The only deciding factor is the design. I just don’t want a home button on the front.

The SE’s LCD is great, but after using LCD phones for years, I can tell you that even though Apple LCD are incredibly good, the deep blacks of the OLED iPhones are just beautiful, if you can find and iPhone X or xs for cheap just go for one of those, totally worth it

Personally I think that the iPhone se will only outlast the iPhone X by 3 years at the most and I personally believe that even still the iPhone X will be perfectly usable just because of how many features they put on it makes it future proof in a way

In my opinion Apple could port over the camera software and processing of the new iPhones to the older ones even if that processing takes advantage of the newer processor and hardware it would definitely be possible to bring better HDR algorithms and overall processing to older models. Just look at the Google Camera that has been ported over to many devices, low end ones as well, and it brings with it all of the features including better processing. It would be nice if Apple could bring over the new camera software much like Google does with its Google Pixel lineup of phones.

I don’t know which one to go for- I’m on a Samsung a12 right now but it’s slowing down and I feel it’s time for an upgrade. I don’t have a massive budget and was gonna pick a phone up second hand. I love photography and just scrolling though Pinterest etc, that’s all I’m going to really use it for besides calls, texts and stuff. I’m edging more to the X just due to the slightly better camera but I fear it’ll be only usable for a short amount of time. Any thoughts?

The A11 and A12 Bionic iPhones were now completely replaced by A13 Bionic iPhones iPhone 8 ---> iPhone SE iPhone X/Xs and Xs Max ---> iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max iPhone XR ---> iPhone 11 The only iPhone missing was the 8 Plus but since portrait mode was the only thing different from the iPhone 8, which Apple implemented on the single lens of the iPhone SE, an iPhone SE Plus would be improbable. But I would still love to see an iPhone SE Max with the same specs of the iPhone SE but with a big display and battery. I mean that's what they did with the Xs and 11 Pro lineup and probably will with the 12 lineup so why not on the SE? Can we expect this on WWDC 2020?

iPhone X for me. It's way cheaper here in China because once a new iPhone comes out the other one drops drastically. Plus the iPhone SE cost upwards of $450-$500 because of the tariffs. However that A13 chip is mega👌🏾

The iPhone XS should be coming down to SE prices (if they haven't already) when the iPhone 12 gets announced this fall. The XS should make the decision much easier if you can find one in a good condition at an SE price.

Besides the cpu and maybe main camera quality (due to the A13's image processing) the SE has no chance against the X. I had one and returned it cause I couldn't get over the poor battery life which I didn't mind the iPhone X's when I had it.
