iPhone X - 10 HIDDEN FEATURES!

Here are some brand new iPhone X hidden features, tips, and tricks that you might not know about. These are just a few of the features I've stumbled across over the past day of using the phone. These features include, reachability, auto silence, Face ID secrets, switching apps, closing iPhone X apps, finding the iPhone X battery % in the menu bar, hidden notifications, brand new iPhone X gestures, secret iPhone camera sensor abilities, and a 120hz screen input rate.
Hopefully these hidden features are helpful to new users who are experiencing the phone for the first time. Even I had some trouble learning about these newer features.

Great tip Sam A - another missed tip is once you access switcher and press the screen until the red dot appears, you can then simply swipe the app up to close it.

To close apps you can just swipe up after the cancel buttons have appeared. Makes it easier

Another way to see your battery percentage is by swiping right from the main screen (far most left or 1st screen) and adding battery to your widgets, it’ll also show the battery percentage to any Apple Watch or other device linked via Bluetooth to your phone.

@@freedm3619 Those are sensors for Face ID and such. They DO emit light, but you can't see it. Wear Night vision, and you'll see it. It's infared, which isn't visible to the human eye but with NVG equipment (which is VERY expensive) it can be seen. Edit: It's infared because it isn't meant to be seen, who wants to see thousands of dots whenever they use face ID

That’s the dot projector for Face ID. The naked eye can’t see the red light. It only appears when you film it on a camera.

Can you explain what the 120 hertz are please?

The refresh rate for the touch input is 120hz. This tracks where your finger or hand is on the display at double the refresh rate than the iPhone 8 which is 60hz. This means the iPhone X can keep track of where your fingers are twice as fast as previous IPhones. This makes interactions super responsive. Now, the display itself still refreshes at 60hz not 120hz so the frame rate is still the same as older iPhones. I hope that helped!

This is only a light for the Face Id sensor. You can’t see it with the naked eye it only appears when using a camera.

I was holding this little camera I just bought and I noticed a flashing light coming from just above the top speaker right in the middle of my phone that was only visible on my camera like my eyes couldn’t pick it up and it wasn’t too my camera because that’s offset to the left of the speaker. Trust me, once you start actually using it won’t be an issue. It’s easier to notice it in video and screenshots because you are not actively using the phone. Also, the iPhone X is selling really well, and reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Your friends just sound jealous lol.
