Dont forget that its loads easier to take off a screen thats intact. If yours is cracked, expect it to crack a load more when you prise the screen off. Then spend hours trying to get rid of those little bits of glass that are still stuck to the edge.

Theres really no difference in removing the glass, no matter how broken the glass is, you wont have to pry pieces of glass off, unless you replace only the glass, which is actually pretty stupid

Correct. No longer water/dust resistant without that adhesive. Just get it repaired at Apple and they'll put everything back to water/dust resistant.
