You were 100% right!! I ordered my iPhone XS Max for $325 and its a major save compared to Apple’s current budget phones being SE and 11 their most cheapests and thats $430-$500 so definitely a MAJOR upgrade for the price 😭🔥

I bought an xs max as soon as it came out. I don’t own a television, a computer, or an iPad so have used this phone as my primary entertainment-which mainly consists of you tube content, prime video movies, Disney plus, and other free visual videos etc. I have you tube premium so often play content in the background while surfing the web or playing games. I averaged 17 hours weekly screen time three weeks ago, 15 hours two weeks ago and about 16 hours screen time last week… that is pretty much par for the course. I just checked my battery health and it is at 92 percent as of September 12, 2021… pretty much three years of continual usage. I can feel my impulse buying gene kicking in now, trying to talk myself into buying an apple 13 mini-but I likely won’t pull the trigger. I have kept the phone in a life proof case until three days ago… case has taken a beating… and usually take my phone out of the case when am thinking of buying another phone… although had iPhone 6 Plus before this one… this phone feels relatively light.. has a beautiful screen, speakers are fair… but better now that have freed it from the case… battery Heath is still excellent… battery life is decent… I always have a backup charger with me… so not really an issue… I don’t use the 3D Touch feature too much, but it is nice to have that option and think Apple went to Haptic Touch after this generation of phones…. My 12 year old daughter has an iPhone XR and her battery health is at 87 percent and I have used my phone significantly more than her… well at least up until this year. I would highly recommend this phone for 300-375 dollars… the 400 dollar price makes me think you are getting close to newer generations… I don’t know… I do know I like the screen size better than my brother’s iPhone 11 and daughters XR… my fascination with buying the mini is it seems like the only phone could justify buying now as a change of pace with regards to portability and could talk myself into buying it because it won’t be offered on the iPhone 14… otherwise… I would wait until the iPhone 14 which I believe will be a true upgrade all things considered with regards to this size.

My husband and I just gave my parents our old XS Max iPhones. They previously both had the iPhone XR and they were starting to have some issues with them (especially my dad's phone, which developed a mind of its own). We happened to have our old XS Max phones sitting in the closet, so we got them out, charged them up, threw their SIM cards in them, and updated them to the latest iOS and they work perfectly and look great. My parents are VERY happy with them. They are still in pristine condition since we always kept cases and screen protectors on them. They literally look as function as though they are brand new, so I have no doubt that these phones will serve my parents very well for at least a couple of years.

I had this phone, same colour in 2020. I sold it in May 2020 as I went over to Android. Not gonna lie, it is an awesome phone. Whether you favour ios or android, you cannot deny the XS Max is a fantastic device.

I brought the XS Max 2 years ago brand new and is in perfect condition. I still have 100% Battery capacity. I use the 12 Mini as my actual phone then use my XS Max for reading books and watching movies. I’m never selling this iPhone as it’s my favourite design ever.👍

Have had my XS max since it came out, and this is the first iPhone that I’ve had that I want to hang onto for a long time (got my first in 2007!). I still completely love it. Really don’t want to upgrade until the notch disappears, and they bring Touch ID back (to work with Face ID). Hopefully this one’ll last me a couple more years!

I have had this phone for nearly three years with 256gb in space gray. The battery is at 90% and the camera is fantastic in normal lighting. In low lighting not so great. I would still recommend it. With a tech 21 case I have near zero scratches. Very rugged phone.

I can’t imagine myself looking at the battery percent and just not being able to see a percentage like that’s really irritating, I’m probably going to wait for the IPhone 14 Pro Max because it’s will most likely have no notch and better upgrades than the 13, perhaps 4 cameras 🤭

I’ll come back on my feedback with the XS Mas when my XS Max arrives. I’ve been using a 6S for the past 4 years and I love it. The Touch ID is a great feature that I will be losing but the battery life is iffy. Either way I won’t upgrade until the notch disappears and when touch id comes back into play.

No lie. I got the XS Max still in the box. I was given an iPhone 11 so that’ll be there as a backup. I’m loving the 11 though 🙌🏾 Great size especially coming from a 6S. I usually use my 6S as a Backup and MP3 Player fr lol. I don’t have Wireless Earbuds at the moment so I use earbuds and my 6S for music in the gym.

My XR's battery is still going strong at 96% Health, so I can imagine the XS Max still having incredible battery life if my XR's battery is still impressing me. It can be a bit tedious looking through the Refurb/Used market but I've seen the XS Max hover around the sub $400-$500 price Carrier locked in various conditions. Not bad for a former $1099 MSRP iPhone. But who knows, maybe Apple will release news of the newest iPhone lineup this upcoming September Event.

It’s meh in general, but for my phone it’s on 89% battery with all major and minor battery draining settings off and it dies in 7-9 hours on moderate to heavy use at home playing on it all the Time. and can only get 12 hours max on light-moderate use, even while I’m at work and I barely use my phone at work so like wth 🤣

I’m not complaining really because the phone still lasts me a day. The display has aged very well. Bright enough and 60hrz is still great tbh. 120 hrz is nice but I’ve learned it’s not a deal breaker. cameras have always been enough lol

First of all if I were you I would go with the max version, for a better battery I think these phones are worth buying even today because the hardware was so ahead of it's time back at 2018 that even now these phones can compete with phones released this year, as for software updates, you have at least 5 years of software updates and judging by how powerful these devices are, apple may continue supporting them even after the 5 years because why not?
