I got my XR in Oct 2019 and I probably won’t upgrade for a few more years. Once my battery dips below 80% (it’s at 88) I’ll get the battery replaced for $69. Better and cheaper than upgrading. The phone is a beast.

I’m upgrading to an iPhone XS from an iPhone 7+ which has been an great phone but I’m starting to have issues with battery and storage. Thanks to this video. I feel I made the right decision. The problem I see with buying either of these phones used is the battery health. My XR, which I bought in 2018, has 92% battery health. And at that level, I get a lot less of battery life during the day. I generally have to charge every day, vs every 2 days when it was new. I also see some degradation in performance. So, if you buy one of these used, it would probably be best to pay to have Apple install a new battery. That ups the price of both phones.

Haha. When I had to get a new battery for my iPhone 6s I replaced it by myself. I bought a new battery online and a freakin' kit with tools. I just watched a guide on youtube and I fixed it by myself with no problems! Try that and you'll save a lot of money!

That depends on what apps you use during that SOT. Some apps drain more battery than others. 1 hour of iMessage isn’t the same as 1 hour of PUBG.
