I would like to share my spiritual experience I had about ten years ago. I was hospitalized twice in a government hospital for 2 different medical conditions. Being a Grade 1 government officer prior to retirement, I was entitled to stay in a single-bedded room which was in the first class ward. It was on the highest floor of the building. (7th floor). On the night before I was discharged, I woke up before 2 am to pee, and after lying on the bed waiting for my eyes to close again, I started to hear some eerie continuous knocking sounds, presumably from a 'worker' lifting and laying small blocks of wood. The hospital was built in 2007. That was five years ago. Was there a worker still continuing with some unfinished business? : in the ceiling, under the roof, at around 2 o'clock in the morning! Being the timid type, I had turned on all the lights before I slept. I had done the same on the earlier two uneventful nights. Was I overwhelmed with fear? Definitely, but I stood my ground. I put my glasses on and trained my eyes on the spot where the sound originated. It was right at the ceiling diagonally above my head! Meanwhile, my right hand had reached for the Buddhist chanting device which was next to my bed. The next moment I had it resting on my chest, and I slowly turned it on and increased the volume. I could hear three more knocks before it quietened. My second experience happened in the same hospital the following year. Once again I had to be hospitalized, but for another ailment. Though I was entitled to stay in a first class ward, I chose not to. I stayed in a 'friendlier' third class ward for obvious reason. The doctor had arranged for a blood transfusion that evening but the process was halfway stopped because of my allergic reaction. About ten minutes later I started to shiver, and it gained intensity. I had wanted my wife to ask the nurse for another blanket when my thought went to the same Buddhist chanting device which was in my bag. The moment I turned it on, the shivers stopped instantly. We were stunned!! *** The chanting device delivers the Pureland Amitofo mantra! I have 101% faith in the mantra's power....
