Respected sir, please clarify my below doubt Your saying that inr is getting depreciated and so only stocks price are high ? If so do we still need to consider PE ratio? Because lets say as per your wordings for example 4 years back ITC would be 100-200 and doller would be 65 - 75 and now ITC is 450+ dollars is 84+ On seeing this im really scared that im not making any returns on market and fot that im paying capital gain tax too. Please share your thoughts Thanks

He said GST income for the govt has grown mainly because of rupee depreciation. When inflation increases companies will increase their prices and as a result their earnings will be in proportion to inflation. The companies' stock prices will also rise in proportion to earnings. This is the reason why returns from equity will beat inflation. Why will you pay capital gain tax when your are not making returns ie no capital gain?
